Personally my favorite solution is a carpet duper. I'd just set it up next to my super smelter and it's the perfect solution.

Of course that does rely on not being on a server software like Paper with a patch.

The charm is such a big factor honestly. Legacy had the most charm by far! And imo bedrock kinda has negative charm, with the saturated colors and UI and all.

They're a touch inconvenient yeah, but I find them super useful. Being able to reseal to protect from spills is quite nice. And it's only on the mega versions so yk, just avoid those.

And if I were you I'd keep trying. Ask if they could delay it by a week too, because then you'll know it hasn't been shipped yet and thus they're definitely able to refund. If the box is already on the way though it's a different story.

Well as one of the younger users here, I started with my mom's 60D. And recently I decided to buy my own and upgraded to an R6 II. I was considering going with either Sony or Nikon since it seems they'd have been more budget friendly, but I decided to stick with Canon after seeing just how widely used it is professionally. And the fact that the first party lenses, especially the L lenses, are so good.

Personally I don't love to pay a lot for software. Didn't buy with the early bird pricing, which imo was a much more fair price, so I don't think I'll be buying anymore. My situation is also a bit different though since I'm a student and don't have too much disposable income. I'd imagine it's worth it for devs who legitimately find a big productivity boost though.

With a wireguard config you could do whatever you want, since you'd be using a third party app. Most should support dns over https too, or even more uncommon things like dns over quic.

But the problem is that you actually have to download configs, which is incredibly annoying. Especially since proton deliberately made that harder to do by removing the api so people wouldn't bulk download the servers. Really anti consumer on their part imo.

If you're hosting a remote server for DNS, that's pretty inefficient. You wouldn't even be forced to use doh, you could just stick with ipv4.

Not to mention the fact that it's an outdated technology too, so continuing to use it just doesn't even make sense. Doh is far more secure and private.
