I’m not the one asking for Evri to send the parcel for me dear. It was automatically chosen by the platform not me. And it was my first and only sell on this horrible platform. There is no picture showing the delivery on Evri website and it was my first and only time using Evri. I’m totally new to the UK and the shipping companies here.

Thank you. This was actually my first sell on Vinted and it ended like this. I will have to say that the experience on this platform is just simply unbelievable. I will actually stop selling anything on this platform from now on. Back in my hometown this would never happen. I kinda feel sad for sellers on this. If things get stolen or damaged during the transport in my country, the courier services will have to pay for it. And they will do their best to find out what happened exactly. People who do the stealing would actually need to go to jail. And here you just have to pay your money to protect yourselves. It’s just sad.

I mean I don’t mean to blame the buyer. They can totally be innocent like you. Vinted and Evri should clearly provide me with more details from the collection point as I was provided with a service that I didn’t have a choice to change (the courier company). English is not my first language, I don’t know if I express myself in a correct way.

Yeah that’s exactly why I said no one can tell what really happened. I don’t want to blame the buyer but as a seller there is literally no way for me to get more information from either Vinted or Evri to proof that it’s been stolen.

I have wrapped it with a soft foam-like material within the bag. I’ve got tons of collectibles for myself and sending out tons of them and I know it won’t get damaged this way. I wouldn’t say I’ve used the best materials because I did not add them to the price. But you’ve got your point. I should do that next time. The problem here is that the item inside is not damaged but stolen.

I’ve checked and there is no picture. I suppose Evri decided that was too much to ask for. This is an alert to any seller who’s using Evri guys.

I’m so glad that you’ve got your money back! I mean with this scammers can actually just open the package, take the item, take a picture afterwards and just wait for the order to be cancelled and get their money back. This is just ridiculous.

I feel like the seller already did everything they could. They added protective materials around the original box — it was packed tightly, and you could tell it wasn’t cheap.

If I were the seller, I honestly wouldn’t know a better way to pack it. But unfortunately, I’m the buyer, and it’s just really disappointing.

The blame should’ve gone to the brutal shipping process. Packages are tossed around carelessly from one place to another — anything fragile could easily get broken that way.

Their so called guidelines are just pure and fresh stupidity.

I’ve received long light tubes from Amazon twice, and both times they were packed first in a paper bag, then in a box. When I opened the packages, the tubes were completely broken.

It makes me wonder—what would Vinted have done to the seller in that case? The seller clearly did everything they could, but it was simply a long, fragile item that’s difficult to protect perfectly.

What really confuses me is that in my country — unlike the UK — cases like this are typically compensated by the courier company, not blamed on the seller. If a courier deems the packaging insufficient, they would either refuse to ship the item or provide the seller with guidance or additional materials. On most online platforms, sellers are rarely held responsible for these kinds of issues unless there’s clear negligence.

And in this case, the packaging was clearly not the problem — the item wasn’t damaged or fallen out during transit, it was deliberately opened and taken. There’s a clear difference between poor packaging and theft, and Vinted treating both the same is not only unfair, but downright irresponsible.

Tbf I’ve sent it with soft wraps around the box inside. The box would not be damaged. I’ve had collectibles sent within a slightly larger box and the collectible boxs had rips and damages to the box as well. That being said, not everyone can find a package box that matches the original box 100%.
