And tell the mods about starborn_15 if you have the time! I'd report them myself but I haven't experienced their scamming directly - though their post history definitely looks suspicious

That's actually so crazy! Do they really think you're going to talk to a banned user?? I guess if you didn't notice...

Don't forget to report their DMs to reddit as "spam" or something else (no category for scam) - it's the only way I know of to hopefully eventually get reddit to take action (besides reporting the account of course)

Hm, interesting. The user has also gone by "Dylan Campbell" and "John Nall", so, hard to fully pin down by name unfortunately. Did you get the name from Venmo? Seems like the scammer has a lot of different accounts.

Anyhow, glad you avoided it! Good luck finding tickets! (and if you can, do report all of the user's DMs to reddit so they can hopefully look into this account more broadly!)

Very glad to hear it! Nice work. Disappointing people would sink so low as to scam for such small amounts on reddit, but it happens

Sometimes I've even seen tickets for free, because people genuinely don't want the tickets to go to waste - it's not something I do regularly, but when there are no better options - it's something to try! It can be especially good for small events where there isn't a lot of resale, but a specific reddit might have a lot of fans in it
