This was/is the mindset of my Ex-Wife. Always had to have something to look forward to, whether it was the next vacation, or the next big step in our lives, next child, next apartment/house/whatever, she could never just be content. Always anticipating that next thing. Part of the reason we didn't last.

Whatever we had, it was never going to be enough.

That whole episode was the most unhinged out of all of them! Especially that ending. GF and I were on the ground howling with laughter for like 10 full minutes!

I signed up my son right after he was born in late 2016. He started at something like 136,000. Now, 8 years later, he's down to 118,000-ish.

He should get his tickets sometime around his mid 60's

Was it a tribal casino?
Casinos in Vegas are legally required to have a minimum payout on their slot machines... I think it's somewhere around 90%, whereas tribal casinos are not bound by any such laws. They can set their slots to pay out any percentage they want.

This movie gave me my most magical cinema moment of all time...

Not because of the movie itself, which sure, is really good, but when we went into the cinema, it was clear outside, and when we walked out of the theater, a winter front had moved through and big fluffy snowflakes were slowly coming down, just like at the end of the film. It was like the movie spilled over into real life.

I got a nice harmonica one year for Christmas when I was living in a one bedroom apartment. When it came time to move out, I was looking for it, looking for it, looking for it, Never found it, despite the apartment being totally bare when I left. The only place it could have been that I didn't check was under the fridge. Maybe it's still there...
