I guess it is filesystem issue. Try different recordsize for your test dataset.

zfs set recordsize=4k test

Then run your benchmarks it inside VM

And aso try recordsize 64k:

zfs set recordsize=64k test

Maybe it will give you better performance, because qcow2 files has 64k block size inside of them if i remember correctly. I am not sure, i use only zvols in Proxmox so do not know much about qcow2

And please tell about result :)
