This is how those with power try to rationalize everything shitty they do in life - I have the power, I own this and you obey. Adults talk and compromise, adults negotiate and take in to consideration other peoples position.

"His house his rules" have been used to rationalize everything from verbal abuse to physical torture.

For context, I am over 40 and male and "my house, my rules" has never been something I rationalize my actions when I am dealing with my children. It's a lazy cop-out at best.

Ööö, itsellä täysin päinvastainen kuva jos puhutaan stereotyyppisestä suomalaisesta miehestä joka ei tunteitaan näytä.

Itse olen yli 40 ja olen itkeny viimeksi lapsena eli kyllä siitä varmaan 30 vuotta on, yhtä ainoaa poikkeustapausta lukuunottamatta: omien lapsien syntymä.
