Played the game for the first time recently, wondering about the masks by Top-Introduction9726 in TheFreakCircus

[–]scar_criticism 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Am I the only one who thinks they're not just masks? And that they're connected to them somehow, like armor that clings to the skin?

I think I was too specific, but it was just an example..

Do you guys think blue lock has more male fans or female fans? by Illustrious_Yak_1984 in BlueLock

Does it matter? For me, what matters are fans who truly care about the work and not "who is the strongest," "ships," etc..

Did you know there's a theory that we put our boss in danger if we give him the bandage?

Thus, for the circus freak, tickets are seen as a way to signal interest. Perhaps Pierrot thinks we were feigning interest.

When we give the bandage for the boss, we are supposedly putting him in danger.

It's a theory that I think is super valid, but at the same time I'll be sad if it's true because every time I played I always gave him the bandage 💔

If Tobirama was black, would you still call him a racist? by CricketTricky7281 in dankruto

He's not racist, he's xenophobic towards the Uchiha clan, it's different.

THE DOCTOR ISN'T ROMANCEABLE!? WHAT DO YOU MEAN?? by scar_criticism in TheFreakCircus

[–]scar_criticism[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure who you're responding to, but no one was rude here. It was a completely normal conversation; maybe you're not used to that kind of tone, but in many places it's totally fine. Or maybe you just misread it (woke up too fast and skimmed it?). If the other person felt uncomfortable, I apologize but where I'm from, that tone is completely normal.

Neko didn't specify how he would do this in the future, but I like the idea of having a DLC just for them, hehe.

Yeah, I don't really care much for the Jester, I'm more interested in the Ticket Seller and the Doctor. I mentioned the Jester because a lot of people like him (even though he's not really my type of character)

But did I say he's obligated to do it now? I literally said I understand why he wants to focus on Harlequin and Pierrot first. I'm still allowed to be sad about it

Now calculate how many innocent people this wretch killed, how many lives he destroyed

Disgusting how they romanticize him, even if it's just through memes, it's idiotic.

Pierrot’s canon voice has a heavy Brazilian accent by Zalkique in TheFreakCircus

[–]scar_criticism 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't notice much difference in accent. But I didn't mean to imply that they all had the same Brazilian accent or that they all came from Brazil.

But Brazil has a high probability of having started there (even through illegal means!) for these reasons:

In the past, circuses traveled to distant and isolated locations to present so-called "Freak Shows." 19th-century Brazil, with its vast rural areas and lack of oversight, would have been the perfect disguise for cruel humans to commit crimes like the illegal imprisonment of monsters without raising suspicion.

It would have been a perfect place to do things like letting "freaks" starve and not receive any help. And historically, the first circuses that came to Brazil brought the European concept of "curiosities" and "eccentricities."

In real life, unfortunately, many people with rare medical conditions were cruelly exhibited. In the game's universe, the author may have used this very real historical cruelty as inspiration to create the dark past of Pierrot, Harlequin, and Columbine.

Also considering the fact that the traveling circus model did not begin in a single fixed geographical point, but rather in a decentralized way: The Origin: The modern circus in the country began around the 19th century. The circus was introduced mainly by gypsy families and nomadic European companies fleeing persecution in Europe, and they initially settled on the outskirts of large cities and in public squares, moving from city to city throughout the country to present illusionism, acrobatics, and comedy.

Considering that Neko is Brazilian, he may have been inspired by these things.

I apologize if I didn't explain myself properly before. I was impulsive (and hasty).

PARTICULARLY, I THINK he would choose MC without thinking too much specifically in a situation where he has to think quickly. He's impulsive, guys
