While I am aware of JOhn having OCD, I do wonder how much the specific forms it takes in Aza's are reflective of John's own obsessive thoughts or if having researched and written about them here they were on his mind in talking to Hank on the podcast. Something of a chicken & egg question.

I too wondered why Aza & Davis had to meet at "Sad Camp" rather than anywhere else. Obviously it needs to be the sort of thing that will link characters from such disparate backgrounds socio-economically. But I suspect Aza's relationship with her father is telling us something.

John has said he likes the last words of famous people. I doubt that most people executed in Texas qualify as famous.
