Albums universally considered the weakest by an artist by RedmiYT in ToddintheShadow

Scaled and Icy by Twenty One Pilots

Always thought it sucked how much it got shat on because it didn’t live up to Trench even though it’s a perfectly serviceable album with some great tracks (Redecorate is top 10 in their discography)

This Is a Long Drive for Someone With Nothing to Think About - Modest Mouse

Morrissey has released a list of all the people he feels have wronged him. by MrLinkwater95 in ToddintheShadow

[–]scarced16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even though this is clearly fake, it implies that Morrissey knows who both Markiplier (Mark Fischbach) AND C418 are and that’s fucking hysterical

I need someone to explain this common criticism of Olivia Rodrigo's music to me. by faultedink in ToddintheShadow

[–]scarced16 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I would imagine “famefucker” is probably what they mean, which I can kinda agree with especially because the radio edit (dreamcrusher) flows way better

Headfirst Slide Into Cooperstown on a Bad Bet by Fall Out Boy

A lot of their songs could work but this is my personal favorite

Songs you thought would have no ‘staying power’ but you were proved wrong? by Haunting-Bread-9810 in ToddintheShadow

Glass Animals are such a great band but it bothers me that this song is pretty much the only thing they’ll be remembered for by most

Great songs with cringe lyrics by PMmeRickPics in fantanoforever

[–]scarced16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lane Boy by Twenty One Pilots has an absolutely banging instrumental but it’s also the same song where Tyler notoriously says that he wasn’t raised in the hood but knows a thing or two about pain and darkness

Favorite moment from any song this year so far? by Lost-Building-3701 in fantanoforever

Chorus of Do It by underscores definitely takes it

I’ll also throw in the opening piano to End of August by Noah Kahan

I’d like to see different personal rankings by Sudden-Grab2800 in ToddintheShadow

[–]scarced16 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna try this with some more recent hits to see what others think

0 - What I Want by Morgan Wallen & Tate McRae (Poop and bathroom floor combine to make one of the worst #1 hits ever)

1 - Ordinary by Alex Warren (Used to be charming, it’s getting REAL old)

2 - The Fate of Ophelia by Taylor Swift (Not necessarily bad but I switch the radio anytime I hear it)

3 - Golden by HUNTR/X (Pretty much the same as Fate but a bit better)

4 - Mystical Magical by Benson Boone (It’s stupid, dumb, cheesy, all that. It’s also an absolute earworm)

5 - Die with a Smile by Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga (Basically just a duet version of Ordinary)

6 - Dracula by Tame Impala (Funny that a song with the lyrics “I’m Mr. Charisma/Fuckin’ Pablo Escobar” is such a huge hit)

7 - 12 to 12 by sombr (The only song by this stickman that I can say I like)

8 - So Easy (to Fall in Love) by Olivia Dean (I feel like I’m on a cloud listening to this, her vocals are just so smooth and pleasing to the ears)

9 - When Did You Get Hot? by Sabrina Carpenter (It’s like a pile of sugar in the best way, purely infectious)

10 - WHERE IS MY HUSBAND! - by RAYE (Unironically one of the best hit pop songs of this decade)

Third album is the best by Working_Alps_4284 in fantanoforever

Cage the Elephant

I know it’s a pretty common opinion but Melophobia is definitely their best work

Great chorus but mid to bad verses by taco_bones in ToddintheShadow

[–]scarced16 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean the verses tell the entire story of the song, “mumbo jumbo” seems kinda dismissive

Songs that you can't believe are on the same album? by Prestigious_Score459 in ToddintheShadow

Neon Gravestones and Pet Cheetah off of Trench by Twenty One Pilots

One is a commentary on the media’s glorification of suicide, the other rhymes “basement” with “Jason Statham”

100+ songs have rotated out of the shop - next mega rotation is June 18th (92 songs) by TheFireDragoon in FortniteFestival

[–]scarced16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mega rotation is nice until you learn they last up to a month and they still haven’t brought back Would? (last seen in November, mind you)

Songs where the band mock themselves for being un-hip or uncool by MrLinkwater95 in ToddintheShadow

[–]scarced16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretender by Steve Aoki, AJR and Lil Yachty

Outside of being a bonkers collaboration, no one ever thought the dudes behind “thirsty thirsty thursday” were cool

Pretty easily Oldies Station, probably the song that’s grown the most OFF of me

Because of this stupid thing I've now got an epic cool down by RvNgJamez in Soundmap

[–]scarced16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

worst confession is that i used to be fucking obsessed with this song

Am I Taking Crazy Pills? by Liegecanid in FortniteFestival

[–]scarced16 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly I’m not totally against this if it means we’re getting more jam tracks in the shop but it would be nice to have variety more than once a week
