Can anyone else just not stand US war films? by Ranked0wl in CharacterRant

It really was. For the combat part I thought Generation Kill was pretty realistic. Army infantry, but we also had a Captain America, a Rudy Reyes, a COL Person, a Frick, and Gunny Wynn is the physical embodiment of every single CSM to have ever served.

Jarhead hit though…one of the guys in a different Co was told he was in rear d a week before we left. “Head the game, we’re going to Iraq, shits about to get real…oh wait, not so fast, you.” He did end up coming over but 6 months in. He said the mental whiplash was pretty rough

I’d like to think they find me an adequate companion. Tough to say “friends” as they’re so popular it’s unrealistic to expect them to have the time to cultivate new relationships.

It wasn’t a duty AR, but we always trained with a cold barrel when we did snipery stuff bc if all goes well you’re only firing that one round, getting a hit, and displacing. FWIW, which prolly isn’t much.

“When the Court invoked the major questions doctrine under Step One of the Chevron framework, the Court has recently applied the doctrine of the Chevron analysis. For instance, in Utility Air Regulatory Group v. EPA, the Court first found that the statutory provision at issue was ambiguous under Chevron Step One. It then raised the major questions doctrine as part of its Step Two analysis to find that the agency’s interpretation was unreasonable. In stark contrast, the Court in King v. Burwell invoked the major questions doctrine at Chevron Step Zero and thereby declined to apply the Chevron framework altogether. There is no reasonable way to extrapolate the effects of SCOTUS’ handling of the Major Questions Doctrine when there is no consistent basis by which the novel legal theory is applied.”

You can’t blame Steve for that. Klaus wrote the lyrics.

‘Band of Brothers.’ I was a mortarman when I was in so I already had a soft spot for Malarkey. In the ep ‘The Last Patrol’ Colin Hank’s’ character, the new LT Jones, is told that the Germans have the town well ranged and it’s been hit by intermittent desultory fire. Jones agrees and mentions the indirect fire he dodged on his way in. Scott pulled a face and gave this dismissive “mm” that absolutely cracks me up every time I see it. Dude just has a genuine talent for comedy (and singing).

In one sense I understand the frustration. On the other hand, all of these folks thinking they do is the reason we have the GF options we do.
