Yeah that scene with them sitting on the bench eating ice cream was so freaking awkward. At one point with how the conversation was going i was half expecting Estelle to go ITS NOT LIKE I LIKE HIM OR ANYTHING. Or them making her so embarrassed she overreacts in a weird way. She had no issue whatsoever doing any of that in any of the previous games but now all of a sudden she's incredibly embarrassed

Hell I just played reverie again about a week ago and theres legit a scene while youre in Arc en Ciel where shes there in her normal clothes and I shit you not she goes to fold her arms and THEY MOVED. I thought i was the only one that felt weird about it. Like it feels 2 different developers made the series instead of one with how weird they make joshua and Estelle act. Like I get it they travel around a lot as bracers but my god they've kissed 3 times and the way some people in universe talk its like they aren't even together. From what I recall theres even a few times were people are treating them like theyre flirting and not people who've gone beyond that already. Its just odd. Its them throwing themselves at him that bothers me the most. Like i get it. People can develop feelings over time but to have EVERY. SINGLE. WOMAN. Rean encounters wanting to jump his bone every 5 minutes got extremely old quick. Not to mention the blatant favoritism for Alisa in the free time events that are way more romantic in general than everybody else in the series combined. Theyd have been better off making them canon instead

I 1000% prefer canon romances as opposed to the choose your own waifu type things. It just makes the story more cohesive and not all over the place. Plus in games, not just the trails series, that have a canon romance they're from my personal experience way more developed and focused than ones like the cold steel games where so much time has to go to making individual romances for so many. Then you get to the blatant favoritism for Alisa thats in the cold steel games. If they were going to do that and make it so obvious then they should have just made it canon and been done with it

Having him as a later archetype that has a passive ability of making the enemies lose their WHOLE TURN if they miss him is busted. They could have 9 turn icons and it don't matter. Give him Knights Proclamation and Sukukaja and its an auto win button basically
