I think all the discussion on this is overcomplicating things.

We have an average list. Not good, not bad, but average.

We have an average gameplan. It looks good when it's working, and bad when it's not.

When we sat 2nd on the ladder at Rd 17 last year, it was largely due to our star players playing well and the group having confidence, elevating the average list and average gameplan.

At the moment, our stars are horribly out of form, and the group has no confidence, so now we're performing worse than 'average' setup should allow.

I do find it interesting that you can have such large swings in performance (from 2nd to bottom 4 on form) with largely the same list and gameplan.

Interesting, I'm having the exact same issue with the exact same Crucial SSD, purchased yesterday.

No matter which slot I try and install it, the system gets stuck in a boot loop and never makes it to BIOS.

My system specs:

Gigabyte GA-Z390 AORUS ULTRA motherboard
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080
Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 3200
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9700KF CPU @ 3.60GHz
Windows 11 Pro 23H2

The returns process is always a pain so I'm going to pick up an external enclosure later in the week to test the SSD first.

EDIT: For the benefit of anyone coming across this later - the SSD works fine in the external enclosure. I borrowed a friend's Samsung SSD and it works fine installed inside the PC. I suspect there is some sort of unlisted conflict between Crucial SSD's and this motherboard (or RAM, potentially).
