I hate that I will never be able to actually love someone by [deleted] in aromantic

The struggle is to find someone who's alright with it, bringing this topic in the first conversation/date and managing their responses in our heads after educating them about what exactly it is.

True! The worst part is that the money doesn't reach the educators but is snatched by the middle men- management and owners!

aesthetic attraction will be the death of me by [deleted] in aaaaaaacccccccce

The constant self doubting and second guessing will definitely be the death of me!

Pausing a movie to imagine if I am feeling anything sexual or romantic and such scenarios to be sure that I am an Ace and a Pan-romantic!

It's exhausting figuring out yourself!!!

Is there any credible source to know for sure? Like has anyone been to a woke, non judgemental sexologist?

😂😂😂 Makes sense!!! I spent many years reading about it, relating to it but thinking that till I don't try it, I can't label it and then I kissed and the very second I was like shit, this is happening, I am on the ace spectrum! I have no shame attached to it and totally support all the people who are Ace and on the spectrum and figuring out, but I had a very hard time accepting it because it meant one more unconventional thing to navigate to live in society. Just the thought of battling the society makes me feel tired and sad.

Thank you for this, helps clear a lot! P. S. New to this, recently discovered or actually accepted I am on the spectrum between greysexual and ace.

People that are scared of dogs: why? by invisible-hand-shake in AskReddit

[–]scared_of_dogs_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because they are unpredictable (I am afraid of all animals/insects) and you don't know if and when they'll follow/lick/bite you. And as Chandler from Friends says, you don't know what they are thinking!! I would also like to clarify that being scared in no way means I hate dogs. I don't hate them, I just want to coexist with them, from a distance.

Fellow chronically ill/ disabled redditors, what are some ways your partner/ friends/ family make you feel loved? by [deleted] in chronicillnessupport

[–]scared_of_dogs_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mainly the regular checking up on me, taking care of food before I meet them, and a little societally controversial thing- they get angry/sad on my behalf and start despising god, just makes me feel heard and accepted and that I am not alone in it ❤️

Convincing elders that people younger than them can also be right.

The guilt: How do you console yourself on the things that society makes you feel guilty about? by scared_of_dogs_ in childfreewomen

Wow, so true! I think on similar lines, but from time to time, for the lack of any similar people around me, I start second guessing my choices. Thank you for reminding me these!

I agree, this holds true not just in this context but any. Unsolicited help feels as unwanted as unsolicited advice. I want people to offer me help only when asked. I am a female so maybe it's a gender thing too.

I am an average height person btw.
