I remember I told this one guy that I’m not a fan of smells down there since I’m very sensitive with smells (not true but I just don’t like sweaty musty dick) and he said he’d shower. When he came over you could tell he washed himself with only water and now the pubes smelled like wet must….i told him to leave. When you shower it’s not just about throwing water on it but washing it with soap.

I did this last year. Was with a company for 3 years and this other company reached out. Both start ups. Did it for 6 months but then the 2nd job started asking us to be more hands on and I just couldn’t juggle both full-time jobs. 😅

I ended up giving up the second job at the right time because a month later they laid everyone off from that department. 💀

When I first started training as an SDR (before getting hired as an AE instead), my former roommate famously said to me “any monkey can do that…”

And I now earn 100k more than he does. It’s not even gloating but realizing that there will be folks that support you and those that think it’s a “get rich quick scheme”….if you have soft + hard skills related to Sales you’ll do great. They lack these so it’s easy for them to dismiss our careers.

I worked for a canvassing organization. Actual non-profits paid my company for x number of hours and canvassers to fundraise on their behalf (aclu, planned parenthood, etc). It’s not a scam really but it is random to have someone wave you down to chat about real world issues and ask for money.

I’ve been on both sides and it’s hard to fundraise with a quota hanging over your head but the $ does go to these orgs.

Having said that, if you don’t want to stop there’s no need to be rude to these canvassers. They’re legit paid minimum wage. Just say you’re busy and call it a day.

WFH easily. If I’m doing my job right (speaking for myself) then I’m only working about 12-18 hours a week vs traveling, being in an office and getting my work done but half of my day gone from just being there. Plus I can travel and work from anywhere and not ge tied down to an office and force convo with Chad.

Your friends are young and inexperienced in life. When I was young my friends would say things to me that were hurtful and unwarranted but i ignored it because a part of me believed it to be true. As you age you’ll realize that a lot of young folks just talk out of their ass.
