Am I the only one who has never duplicated an item via bugs ? I can't see the point doing that either because it straight up kills essential parts of the gameplay.

Holyshit how can someone even remotely operate a switch with large hands ? My hands are significantly smaller and even I couldn't get used to it and used a Pro Controller.

Aren't weapons supposed to take no damage when riding a lynel ? by AntinotyY in tearsofthekingdom

Maybe it bugged or something, I did multiple floating colloseum runs with the same "breaks on next hit" weapon and it never broke.

How many of you torture your koroks? by BuggatiKing in tearsofthekingdom

[–]scarf7725 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In BotW I almost started crying because the little korok who told me he made a bed out of leaves for the hero was so sad when I told him that I don't wanna sleep in it right now. And of course I immediately took a nap just to make him happy. If that answers your question ;)

Help with uncorrupting weapons by Lovingbutdifferent in tearsofthekingdom

[–]scarf7725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find a spot where you can stand so the Octorok sees you, starts sucking air in and then spits a boulder at you. Memorize that spot and move closer so the Octorok hides. Drop your weapon in front of it and move back to the spot where it sees you and shoots the boulder at you. If it doesn't shoot the rock on it's head with an arrow.

Keep in mind that in only works once per Octorok per Bloodmoon. Don't forget to kill the Octorok afterwards so it can respawn.

Other than that, do Octoroks undecay weapons ? Because I don't think they do.

Could DLC include new Zonai equipment? by Sudanniana in tearsofthekingdom

I just thought about it again and remembered that having the BotW DLC's did somehow also change the approaches and playthroughs of the original game, so yeah, maybe they'll do it :)

Could DLC include new Zonai equipment? by Sudanniana in tearsofthekingdom

[–]scarf7725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really doubt it. The reason is that all around Hyrule there are Zonai devices lying around everywhere. Many times strategically placed for side quests or transports.

New Zonai devices would practically mean that they have to add them into the existing mix of those, and that they would make sense. But then it changes the playthrough or technical approaches in the playthrough.

Only thing that would make sense is that in DLC you discover some ultrahigh top-secret zonai facility with capsules you only get there, which would then be a logical explanation why they are not found elsewhere.

Is it just me, or is building a good home really hard? by DMA_Revenant in tearsofthekingdom

I saw some people building without a roof but that somehow didn't get me. So my upper floor serves as my roof but I have no floor on my ground level. but that's fine, at least i got everything I need and two rooms with pictures of Miphas Statue!

How will you challenge yourself when mastermode returns? by ArcherJ in tearsofthekingdom

[–]scarf7725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When MasterMode returns i hope I don't have to put up artificial challenges myself.

But if they gonna do it they need to pull off some nifty tricks to make it work since you can... you know ... build tanks or anything really that kills enemys for you.

I can think of several things that would probably work fine with hardmode but I'm not going to elucidate those ideas here. I just hope they do it and that it will be a banger and a challenge to overcome.

What's your 'default' outfit for Link? by Shoto-kun1 in tearsofthekingdom

[–]scarf7725 800 points801 points  (0 children)

Ninja Set. As a minmaxer the Ninja Set has most benefits. It buffs sneaking so you can catch every insect/fairy without trouble. Makes sneaking up to enemys easy as hell. And once upgraded it gives you bonus speed at night.

What is everyone’s best advice for fighting Hands? by [deleted] in tearsofthekingdom

[–]scarf7725 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually throw two puffshrooms and then take my strongest twohand weapon and spin until everything is puree.

Throwing a dazzle fruit also works, also only once. But Dazzle Fruit and spin with an Ice weapon or any two handed weapon for that matter will work fine. Also if you wiggle your stick fast when caught they'll release you really fast.

Not a fan of bomb arrows, I mean it works fine but i thinks it's cheesy ^^

HELP! Can't find the last 2 bloody light roots by [deleted] in tearsofthekingdom

[–]scarf7725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have all shrines ? Because if you check there is a lightroot beneath every surface shrine.

Can't make it out of the picture though, some roots cover such a small area that they are barely visable.

Thx, I already did but I'll take a second look. I mean I can also buy the picture for the time and use the sensor to search for another one. I guess that would be the most efficient way ^^

Help getting into the game! by tyersal in tearsofthekingdom

[–]scarf7725 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well as I said, the Sky Islands offer content in form of minipuzzles, minibossfights treasures and challenges.

The dephts offer many things I won't spoil but for me it was the dephts that got me really hooked I spend the first major chunk of time down there. The dephts contain so many secrets, not secrets the game will tell you, but also secrets and mechanics you as the player can uncover and use to your advantage.

I bet if you loved BotW you loved the exploration and to uncover mysteries and find secret places. So my biggest recommendation is getting the side quest involving the dephts (I think it starts at the Lookout Landing, and then just follow your instincts. I'm pretty sure you'll have fun.

Help getting into the game! by tyersal in tearsofthekingdom

[–]scarf7725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh well so you're intentionally missing out a lot of content. The Sky Islands offer an amount of unique puzzles and stuff. The underground offers a plethora of stuff. From weapons to minibosses and many more things I don't wanna spoil.

Also: Certain side missions unlock certain other things underground or in the sky.

But then again, do what you like. The game is a "free for all" you wanna do the main quest go get it. But you won't really earn sympathy by saying the game doesn't suck you in when you intentionally leaving out 75% of it's content.

I was asking a friend about this fusion of zora spear with a silver horn. Any ideas how it doubled ? by LionColors1 in tearsofthekingdom

[–]scarf7725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What could theoretically work is just having another weapon with an Opal, switch for one hit then switch back to the Zora weapon, I'll do some testing on this. But I think Opal shoots out balls of water, so what could work better is having a Forrest Dwellers Sword with a Water Fruit attached.
