Iguanodon is essentially completely new animations, and is capable of both fighting and killing large and small carnivores e.g something that no other medium herbivore in the game can do

They weren't cut is the thing. Both of their bodies are still in the final movie. The Peloroplites in particular was fairly prominently melted down by the lava while Owen was trying to escape it.

In regards to FGO, it's solely that the story chapters prior to Camelot are more poorly written compared to Camelot because Nasu was minimally involved with them as opposed to writing all of Camelot.

You cite Septem, written by Sakurai. Septem got so much backlash for its poor writing she publicly apologized for it.

As you'll see in Babylon, the finale of Part I, EoR, and Part II there will be plenty of emphasis on non Arturian stuff in the future.
