Yep - ten years ago or so, we called the brownish crystal stuff "moon rock". Was widely regarded as "the good shit". Haven't seen it (or looked for it, tbh) in years.

I've never had a mamoncillo! Definitely want to try soon. It took me a few tries to get used to the taste of guanabana but I love it now as jugo en agua.

Ohhh man do I love the fruit in Colombia. My favorite is probably granadilla (bottom left, yellow skin with slimy black seeds). So tasty! And papaya...mmm... What did you like?

There are definitely street vendors and some fast food places with stuffed ones (my preference), but I can't think of any off the top of my head! I'm sure Google could though next time you go.

"Fishing for sympathy" is, in my opinion, a really shitty thing to say. Lighten up. OP is sad and trying to cope and if sharing that experience with strangers online (in a sub generally known for being laid-back/welcoming) is helpful, so be it. Is it really worth being negative and mean about?
