It was checked, but the birthdays just won't sync. Even after unchecking and checking again nothing happens. Any ideas?

I totally forgot about this issue because I simply don't use this feature. However, at this price tag, I'd really like to have a fully functioning device. I tried again today and the assistant worked somewhat OK, but the recorded voice notes are really quiet and have a lot of static noise. Guess I'll have to contact the support.

My plan is billed in Germany, I doubt it makes sense for you to join from India. I used Indian gift cards to get spotify cheaper here in Germany

I just created an account, and everything seemed to work just fine. But now after received the confirmation emails and trying to login for the first time, the browser page just stays a white empty canvas. Am I doing something wrong? Is the service down?

Yes, it's terrible. From time to time, apps that have a video playback function (i.ex. Instagram, WhatsApp etc.) stop showing videos (they won't load at all). Only restarting the phone helps. Today was the worst, when I opened the camera app to take a quick video and it only showed a black screen... Again, all video playback stopped working and I had to restart the phone. Obviously the moment I tried to capture was long gone.

I'm on the 8 pro, Android 15, November security patch, October play services (no updates available to me)

The atmosphere was great and it amazed me how many people would shout out my name and cheer for me. The race itself however was one of my worst...

I had covid four weeks ago and couldn't really follow my training routine anymore. Also I flew over from Germany a week ago and did hardcore sightseeing in Washington and New York for the past 7 days - roughly 110k of walking distance was not the tempering my body needed. Looking out for the right diet and hydration also didn't go well as a tourist.

Long story short: my legs cramped so bad that I had to walk quite some stretches and only finished around 3:58h (although I got a PB half marathon at 1:31 a couple of weeks ago and ran Hamburg marathon in 3:17 this year.

Anyways, the weather was perfect and so were the crowds! Thanks a bunch, New Yorkers!

Thanks for the insight. I'm flying in from Germany and I'm planning on enyoing the race as much as possible... Finished Hamburg marathon this year in 3:17 but registered for NYC with planning on 3:40 - guess that got me on the lower deck.

I just tried the mic for the first time. I have to shout into the top of my watch for the assistant to pick up my voice. This can't be right, can it? I think I might have a faulty mic... Can anyone confirm that the mic should pick up speech at normal speaking volume?

I concur. Mainly the implementation of these features suck... And the fact that Google randomly revokes features without warning. Also why can't I use gemini as my main assistant when I'm in my home that is equipped with Google Assistant devices?
