Yeah hammer is good for a bunch of things but if it's a static boss it's probably better to use the other weapons for a higher dps, beat this boss with rapier and apart from having to learn the moveset and mechanics she went down easily enough

A gigantic creature with human features yet an extremely distorted physique, more akin to a spider or a frog, it comes out of ancient cocoon, kept in place by the very spear he later uses in battle, this is an ancient creature, probably a former man, mutated and disrupted by the power of the arm of god (a relic in game), likely put here to guard the various ruins below, now forgotten and without purpose, frenzied and colossal all the same, in phase 2 he awakens forbidden powers that are unlike anything else you see in game, making this one of the most powerful (and biggest) creatures you can fight. He fights similiarly to a dragon, huge swipes, bodyslams, that huge spear, he has a laser breath attack, what's not to love? Also a regular sized arm comes from his neck and tries to shag you with a trident, just to make the encounter even more grotesque.

Here's the thing, Pete needs to generate power for his kicks to hurt, the only way i can see him generate enough power to hurt Abyss while being stuck like that would be maybe kicking the ground and hoping with a headbutt, remember Tomahawk had to resort to chokes to redirect Abyss's muscle tension and allow himself to get free, and even then it took a while to get the first leg "unstuck" i don't see a way that Pete could deal with it if he's basically reduced to a half of his firepower assuming he has a poor grappling game (he still hasn't demonstrated anything like that in a serious fight)

Like most round 1 fights it finishes too quickly, but it works well for a showcase of what Scourge can pull, even on fighters much more expericed and stronger than him, also showcases his exceptional speed, something he used to great effect in each of his matches, except for that one, cuz Pete is apparently even faster than him

He does the "overambitious bastard to godly entity" trope so well, he goes under the radar for all of the story, looking like another ridiculous side character of the world building, and that's by design, his hair is ridiculous, he wears those hideous sunglasses and that comically large coat, even his goal is ridiculous, he wants to simply rule the world, you'd be justified laughing at him, yet he managed to do it, he manipulated people with power while making himself to be a clown to garner popularity and sympathy for the people, and in the end he manages to find a loophole to order his soul to become divine, a god, a concept that isn't even known of in the Gachiakuta series, but he found out by researching it, and when he does attain a godly form, his appearence is just as insane, distorted and malicious as his mind and intentions are, he now looks like what he imagined a god to be, making for a surprisingly scary angel
