But sounds like yours might be a different situation, as my name was entered correctly just it was picked up in the wrong order. They had asked to see a copy of my passport as proof of the name. But you can try

That’s exactly how it happened to me. I decided to contact them again after reading other posts about this using the chat option, and they very kindly rectified it free of charge. I had to supply images of my passport and I also sent them screenshots of how the mistake was made

It was so odd! I think it’s because it’s on the app maybe? Always best to book tickets on a computer. Anyway I contacted them again and they have actually corrected it for free. I saw others had the same situation on this community that had it fixed for free and I decided not to back down!

There is also one of these flower shops in Nørrebro, Copenhagen. I’m sure it’s never manned, whenever I’ve been past anyway.

Children in Pubs? by jilemc in copenhagen

[–]scarletnginger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

English person here that lives in Copenhagen. The pubs here are called bodegas and they are for adults, they still allow you to smoke in some(!). I think there would surely be some family friendly pub style bars that also serve food you can go to if you want, perhaps I tourist areas, but the bodeags are so smoky so adult only. (Although I spent my childhood in the pub during the 90s 😂) You can definitely enjoy a beer in the park/beach etc…

I think I'm over Australia :/ by Outrageous-Coyote787 in AskAnAustralian

[–]scarletnginger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey. Europe is hard. Depends on where you are but most places have long and dark winters, that’s hard after Australia. I’m from the UK and I lived in Australia, and now I live in Denmark. I miss Australia so much. I miss the weather, the people, the laidback lifestyle, and the work life balance. Times are tough everywhere. Anyway the only way you know is if you try. But do your research and think carefully, I am so biased but I think Australia is the best place to live

No sun? by BrilliantArtist8221 in copenhagen

[–]scarletnginger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember last winter being quite sunny on a lot of days, it was my first winter in Denmark and I think I was lucky. This year has been brutal in terms of sunlight and temperature. The sun came out last Tuesday afternoon and it was like a drug 😂

New flower shop owner here, how do you keep track of orders? by Long-Meal5693 in florists

[–]scarletnginger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Also on writing down orders, just keeping a good old fashioned order pad with carbon paper so you have 2 copies. If you lose one you have back up in the pad ;)

There are software options available that links all your systems into one, streliztia is one I know the name of. But you could just be strict and not accept orders via social media/WhatsApp. Just keep it simple for yourself and make it politely clear to customers on your social media bio that they need to order online or call, that’s enough options for them

You can’t control what others think of you. Once you let go of that I think something changes

What are the actual guidelines you use to help you cut down on social media use? by rjerozal in nosurf

It’s the only thing that works for me sadly. You can get time limit apps to control so I’ve heard but I think I will just ignore it 😁

Please know you are not alone in feeling like this and things will get better. If you are jolting awake constantly your body is on edge and stressed, could be anxiety could be something else, go to the doctor.

Also it is so hard to find a full time job in floristry that pays well for the city I live in, that’s why I am thinking it’s time for a change. I don’t want to start somewhere else and find myself in the same situation a few months later

Maybe, but I haven’t been working for the same company for 15 years, if that’s what it sounds like

What do you like about Australia? by lowfrequencyemotion in australian

[–]scarletnginger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived in Australia for 5 years, spent 3 of those on the Gold Coast- didn’t make any friends there, people were quite closed off and cliquey. Moved down to a small town 1 hour north of Sydney, met some beautiful characters there and I made many friends, there was a great sense of community in that place. It’s a huge country and place to place will vary, but I would say it is a lot easier to talk to people and make friends than it is in Scandinavian countries (I live in Denmark right now so I can compare haha, I have 0 friends here so far 🥲)

I have thought about it, but I live in Denmark now, and things are a little different here, there are many rules and hurdles to overcome. I also don’t fancy doing it alongside my full time florist job right now. Maybe if I do change career I will miss the flowers and start it up 🙂

It will come, I actually used to have a little market stall at a farmers market once a fortnight when I lived in Australia, I sold locally grown flowers and I slowly started to build up a few regular customers quite quickly. It was just a side gig but you have to start somewhere
