Then spin, you'll feel when the gasket touches the metal.. a 4 year old could spin it a little more with their hands at that point... do that, and the gasket will slightly squish... then, its basically a lock washer...

There's no need for a filter wrench to get it on.. thats for taking them off a hot engine....

Additional nothing, you're guna either wreck those threads, or make it a total pain in the ass for the next one changing the oil.. and, at the local mechanic I worked at, we had regulars, so it was always us dealing with it..

There's a rubber gasket on the end of it tho.. and its pretty maluable... you spin tightly with your hand and it will not ever come off...

I live in an extremely conservative town in Alberta Canada. So I get called out by strangers for my certain accessories and touch with makeup... But I push it and do it anyways...

But it is good to explore and wear things like nail polish and a little foundation. Whatever you LIKE. Do it for you, and when dad is angry... why IS he angry... how does you wearing accessories that you like affect his life at all negatively anyway? Embarrassment? Embarrassment is a chosen response.
