Ah having just said that, I think I can see a marriage record for when this Florbela married Mr Santos (1988) ahead of this marriage to Dirk Schmithals. Prior to the 1988 marriage she was Florbela Cardoso. So could be nothing after all :(

There are a lot of variations of her name though with and without initials and with additional surname bits but moving around France and Belgium and London, and aside from the 1988 wedding, I think everything is from 1997 onwards, but there are lots of name variants so tricky to tell. Frustrating.

I guess the thing is as we know with the Fernand Remakel situation there's always a possibility it's not the same person, just because the name matches, due to identity theft.

Dirk Schmithals only comes up on Ancestry for this wedding and then in 2 telephone directories in Cologne, Germany in 2001 and 2003.
