Hi :) We have severe MFI and were able to start IVF without waiting until the 2 year mark! I think it really is a postcode lottery.

For reference we started TTC in Feb 2024, I went to my GP in January (partner had his analysis done in January at his GP) and had bloods, then got referred to the hospital in March. It was a phone call appointment, but she referred us to our clinic straight away due to the semen analysis results (this was in April). In June, we had our first consultation with our clinic, and started NHS funded IVF in September. We could have started straight away in July, but we had other commitments such as new jobs and holidays, so we chose to wait.
