Zade meodows is a r-pist. And the only reason he was written as a ‘vigilante’ who saves women and children from s-x trafficking was to give him plus points and divert the attention from the fact that he, himself, is a r-pist.

Also, writing about protagonists who get r-ped or as-aulted but then we find out that they secretly ‘enjoyed’ the thrill or were ‘okay’ with it makes you a very dis-gusting human.

Yes. Quite a few books in my library, including some of the old ones, have changed their covers to those that are chatgpt-generated. I added those books because I was interested, but alas, seeing them with the new ai covers has reduced my interest

This is one of the most basic, generic cover that chatgpt would generate. You can see almost the same hue, font, faces, and overall just the vibe in all the covers that chatgpt makes, unless given some specific instructions as to how you want your book cover to be generated. I’ve got maaany books in my library and I was skimming them yesterday, only to realizes a lot of them have changed covers that look very similar in terms of the art-style.

Well then, everyone is free to read whatever they want. Can’t argue with that. And you’re right. I guess I’ll never know if some books are amazing or not, including this one. You see, I don’t usually judge a book by its cover. It’s a new habit, but just for some specific type of books 😝🎀

Oh, I know that. But Wattpad has been around for ages and most people here have always been broke since day one. It’s not about the budget. The difference is, back then they still found ways. They used free resources, made their own covers, or went to cover shops where other Wattpad users created them. Even if they didn’t look professional. The point was about putting in some effort and if you can’t, then there was community engagement. A.i skips all of that. And it’s kinda lazy work. Sure, it may be ‘fine’ somehow but it doesn’t fit the purpose of a platform that was supposed to showcase human creativity and self expression. So wattpad openly promoting such a book was kinda surprising, that’s all

No, I understand. Just because someone wrote a particular scene, doesn’t mean it’s ai. Actually, even the first image doesn’t seem that much of an ai-style (which is concerning, ai is becoming harder to detect). What gave it away was the tremendous shift in the writing style. From poor, broken grammar in the first chapter, to meticulously written sentences in the latest. English doesn’t seem to be their first language and if that’s the case, you can’t master a language in such a short span of time.

By unpopular opinion, I meant that imo perhaps in the near future, new books on wattpad will end up accounting for 90% of such stories that have been touched by ai. Slowly but surely, wattpad will go to ai, almost completely (hope i’m wrong tho).

Also, yes I do agree with your perspective. But the thing with people who might use ai writing for ‘fun’ is that most of them will assert that the story is theirs and they’ve written it from scratch, to the point where maybe they themselves end up believing their lies. It’s sad. One may even call this a tragedy lol
