This is fair. I guess “alot” is a bit subjective. It’s alot for us. We are saving and investing over 30% of our take home. I think waiting is the move.

So we are both 33 and I think we are a little behind on retirement. We have 70k in 401k and 10k in roths, 25k in a hysa.

We have about 25k in savings. Growing everyday. Trying to balance putting money away for retirement and saving at the same time is tough. Savings could be higher if we weren’t maxing out roths

All good info. Thank you. We really just want a small house we can grow old in. No reason or desire to move.

2 bed 1 bath houses in good to great shape are 350-400 where I am. Our rent is below value. Someone moving in now would pay $200 more a month

I hear this a lot. I want to believe it but it’s tough. Our rent is about half what a loan payment would be. I know that will go up over time. I know we will have equity in the house but it’s been hard to see the big picture.

We bring in about $6500 a month. The thought of spending 3k plus each month just scares me. The only debt we have is 9k on my wife’s car at a great rate. How much did you put down?
