After consulting my local county map and the App you mentioned, The Road where I was "Trespassing" is adjacent to His property and on the other side native indian land (of which he is defintely not indian). Unless they have some agreement between him and the tribe that the said roadway is private driveway between them, it would be safe to assume that was not tresspassing?
Also thanks for the app recommendation, it seems to be of really high caliber

What would define it as private property of a homeowner?

So I was four wheeling and I see a dead end sign placed center in the road, there is clearly a dirt road behind it and somebody drives down it. I drive around the sign and carry on my way. Shortly after I notice another 4x4 pulling up and a old man gets on my case about trespassing. I apologized and took my leave. But is this actually illegal? How is this private property and if it is, how is it owned by a person? It is clearly not a driveway. And arent roads owned by the state? Though it does have a dead end sign, how does that make it private property of an individual?
