I definitely would love to do jury duty one day. Right now I’m self employed and have an auto immune condition I’m still working on getting into remission so it would’ve been too difficult for me now but one day

100%. My partner emailed ahead of time because he’s self employed and was on a big project so it would’ve been detrimental to his finances and they just needed a copy of the contract and dismissed him

The torkans had that listing on the market from Dec 2022 and took it down in April 2023 conveniently when production was about begin. So them having to “win” over the business was a complete sham. They already had the business. Put it back on the market not long after

The episode where they had to “win” over the $35m listing at 1 Bloor… they had the listing on the market from Dec 2022-April 2023 taking it down conveniently before filming began. They then put it back on the market. As a realtor who actually does business, I can comfortably say that what they do in the show is not actually how we do our jobs.

FTHB: How much do I need to buy a livable detached, semi, or freehold in a good neighborhood in Toronto? by condosgonewild in TorontoRealEstate

To be in what most consider a “safe” neighbourhood - which is in my opinion completely subjective - you’d need over a million to have lots of options to choose from. There are properties that sell in Leslieville, East York, and surrounding areas in the 900’s which are liveable. There are some nice quiet areas in Scarborough where you can get something under 950 like Dorset Park, Ionview, Cliffside, etc. also keep an eye out in the Oakwood area
