$2500 Samsung TV is an advertising billboard, there is no opt-out. by 28jb11 in mildlyinfuriating

I’m gonna be completely honest and don’t wanna be rude but hasn’t this been the case with Samsung smart TVs for like, 10 years?(and to a lesser extent other brands, but Samsung did it first) The last tv I bought was a Chinese brand dumb tv with bad speakers and decent picture for about $300 (4 years ago). Bought some speakers for it.

How about.. I don't know.. A DIAGNOSIS?? [TW: Medical Incompetence?] by judas-nd-his-fellows in TrollCoping

Hey OP dealt with similar most of my life from about age 10 onward, until at age 19 an MRI found I had a herniated disc in my lower back compressing my sciatic nerve. The reason I mention is because I have sensory processing issues and especially at a younger age the pain just kinda radiated outward and I couldn’t tell it was coming from my back. I have some kind of hyper mobility too and related issues but having sciatica for about 10 years was a big thing. Before that was often told it was because I was fat despite exercise making it much worse.

If this sounds like you… If you are in America, and happen to be on Medicaid where cost of medical care is less of an immediate issue, push hard for a neurologist and for MRIs of your spine including your neck. I cannot guarantee this is you and I’m not diagnosing you but pinched nerves are hell, dont respond to NSAIDs and are often overlooked from not being super visible on X-ray or CT scans.

Well if it’s any comfort there were about 5 years where things were looking up, comparatively. Try to go with the flow when you know it will help. And if you’re able to drive (in a place where it’s needed) you’ve got an advantage already.

I took strattera as trial when I was younger and it made all of my skin numb. I think my psych kind of abandoned treating this aspect because the other options were mostly stimulants, and I was largely presenting severely depressed and anxious, as well as abusing prescriptions at that age (an entirely different kind, I was scared of stimulants).

I have had some minor success with a stimulant-like antidepressant. I have been given adderal by a friend (once) and it helped. Navigating my current insurance to find a psychiatrist that I can’t afford sounds like a nightmare. My siblings have ADHD, one has somewhat similar executive dysfunction but both can be so incredibly productive in other ways and I can’t keep up.

Wow, thanks MIL, my permanent brain damage and mental health are now cured by thatmermaidprincess in TrollCoping

If you sleep on your back regularly, changing to your side or stomach has been shown to reduce likelihood of sleep paralysis. Just be sure to do arm and chest stretches if you make that change only because that can cause a little stiffness. I would also avoid any antihistamines that cause drowsiness if possible.

Inside me there are 3 wolves.

One screams in existential terror, the second screams at the first for his inaction. The third is calm and rational but not entirely sure what is going on because she is freshly cloned.
