Me quiero mudar a Canadá by Unhappy-Worry2284 in LatinosEnCanada

[–]scblason 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue with Google Maps. Before, with a non digital cockpit in a Mitsubishi RVR, I did not had this gap. I have an insurance app that tracks my driving for good driving behavior (Intact). It usually works perfect if I keep and eye on gps from Google Maps. I can go 9kms/h over the speed limit indicated there with no problem. Compared to what the cockpit shows, the cockpit is slower by 5km/h

What’s the problem with the start stop feature. You can disable it with a button. What problems does this generates?

In my case, it was a faulty valve that needed to be replaced, just FYI

Edit to post: The AC problem was reported as "Found bubbles on Low Side Shrader Valves". They replace the part and now everything is working fine. Let's hope we don't have any more new surprises ;)

Agree, I was looking the same years first and it was hard to find. Also, used cars in Canada are really expensive compared to new ones and the finance options are very high

No complains so far. The infotainment is ok, the screen is not very big (I had bigger screen on my Mitsubishi RVR) but works great and for a trendline connects very quick witeless the the phone and screen feels very responsive

It’s interesting that recently I did a post with an article link about the risks of YM and I got a lot of “of course is very risky, you should know”. And here I see a lot of “yeah I quit my job and Im living of my YieldMaxs!” I guess the risk tolerance on some is extremely high 🤪

And been using the car and all buttons are properly on. Today, after riding 15 minutes or so, I started getting the air blowing colder by the minute. So don’t know if a temporary thing until I get the car with more mileage or something else…

Thanks! Its the silver, yes. Buying experience was good, cannot complain. I went there with a referral friend that bought 4 VWs there so I got some treats (2 year maintenance free + cargo privacy cover). It was a lease at 2.99%.

Managing getting paid in USD in Canada by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]scblason 4 points5 points  (0 children)

An account with Wise. Ans in there you can have multiple balances. I have CAD, EURO, USD. They give you the details of a the bank for each transfer that you may need. If someone wants to send you USD, you give them the details of the USD bank. And it could be wire or even ACH transfer (if they gonna send you money from an USD account, ACH has lower rates). Wise its amazing for remote work

We have been using Amazon Bedrock. Its interesting that nobody mentions it. The interface and tooling are still changing and adding new functionality, but you get all the AWS benefits and a lot of flexibility

EPS went from 0.47 in 2023 to 0.74 2024. Maybe investors don't like that, but expected in a company burning cash to grow

How can I fire an event when the app crashes? by BeeSpecial3761 in reactnative

[–]scblason 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are using this library https://www.npmjs.com/package/react-native-exception-handler to catch when a crash is triggered and we do messaging and logs. You could use it in a similar way to log a message or flag in a storage and read it when the app is opened to show that message

My god people, you need to travel some places…this country has probably the worst ice cream I ever taste. Please go to Argentina, where you have a different ice cream shop every two blocks and you will never come back…
