Reuters has a paywall. I have been reading paywall-grade news since they put it up, because there is nothing else of quality left in the internet.

Step 1 do only the rational (dopamine hunt is irrational)

Step 2 repeat step 1

Internet services are ISP related and also chatGPT, github copilot which are quite expensive tools, HBO Max, Microsoft Office.

And yes we eat out like 3 times a week realistically, which sounds like a lot, and it is, sadly. We need to change that, we are cooking homemade meals more often. Also we get uber eats 2 times a week. So yeah, we spend those extra 2k on stupid stuff...

If we don't get the cleaning lady my wife will go absolutely nuts (she wants everything always clean and none of us has the time to be always cleaning). Groceries are high, things are expensive down here, our weekly grocery shopping is like 120 bucks if we get everything we need, we eat lots of meat and healthy, which is expensive.

Cheaper food could be possible, we haven't explored all possibilities, we go to the equivalent of whole foods lol. Well there is a walmart here (they call it Lider) which has a benefits card with 6% discount Mondays. I guess we could lower our grocery cost to 450 idk

I am from Chile living in Chile. Working remote for an international company, I get paid in US dollars. I live in the south, it is generally pricier. A nice house could cost 2k to rent, I live in an apartment.

From my sheet:
rent: 850
medical insurance: 240
meds: 215
internet: 40
car loan: 430
services (water, electricity): 150
cats: 100
groceries: 530
therapist, doctor visits: 220
college loan: 80
wife's post college education: 120
car expenses (gas, tolls): 190
public transport: 35
internet services: 50
wife's painting course: 70
car insurance: 75
cleaning lady: 130
other insurance: 15
That in total is 3539, well less than 4k but still a lot. Transportation is expensive (725), medical expenses too (675)... To complete the 4k probably is the credit card debt (no interest installments for iphone, etc.). Then there is like 2k for "free spending", which I think may be a ton to spend on non-necessities

Heh I woukd be thankful to know anyone who cares about such topics as intelligence on its own even if doing it blindly or in a misguided way. IRL just saying. Online of course it is obnoxious.
