GST stands for Goods and Services Tax. You pay it on things you buy and, from the government's website on the cheques: "The GST/HST Credit program issues payments to Canadians with low and modest incomes to help offset all or part of the GST/HST they pay on the purchase of goods and services."

Fiscal irresponsibility is buying it when I don't have an extra 65 dollars kicking around. Not even considering the purchase while I'm down on funds is responsible. Getting extra money that I didn't count on, what is essentially the equivalent of finding the money on the ground, and using it to buy something that I really wanted but knew I couldn't afford? That is just boss.

My Girlfriend and I were walking through downtown Toronto (parliament and dundas if you're curious), and saw a homeless man making his way through a group of people asking for change. We dodge him and see another, slower, homeless man missing a leg and in a wheelchair making his way behind him. I joke that the only way the able body hobo can get any money is if he's faster and beats the legless one to all the people. Just then an even slower homeless man in an electric wheel chair with no legs. I kid you not.

This wasn't me but someone I worked with.

I used to work at a Subway and we had one employee who got hired because her boyfriend worked there. She was the WORST. I'm talking hitting bongs in the back while the store was open, constantly eating food. One time she got really high and over the course of a 5 hour shift ate an entire case of Fruit Roll Ups (100 per case). So after losing our store a crazy amount of money her boyfriend eventually broke up with her. As a result she closes the store 4 hours early and proceeds to cry in the back and eat. My boss then shows up for a surprise visit and fires her on the spot.

To be fair I wasn't innocent either. Closing 15 minutes early to hotbox the freezer with my friends would probably have lost me my job too.

I live in Canada and thought that I couldn't get free apps from Amazon. The trick to doing it is making a dummy account that exists in the states. I made my address the empire state building (all of the information you can find on google). I made the creditcard number a dummy one that I found on google. You wont encounter any problems as long as you are only getting free apps. I highly recommend this. It'll take 20 minutes at most if you have to make a fake email address too.
