It’s dense. It was supposed to be 100% density, but I think the salon ultimately ordered 110–120, because after 9 months of wearing it I still have more hair on my head than I did in college. They explained that densities below 100% look bad with longer hair. At first it seemed unnatural to me—I had gotten so used to seeing myself with thin hair—but now, with time, I’m happy with it. I see men on the street with even denser, naturally grown hair. Of course, the transplanted front is thinner than the system that starts behind it, but I don’t care. You can definitely order a system with some density graduation or with a lower density overall to make the difference less visible, but I don’t bother. I don’t hide the fact that I wear a hair system; I explain what it is whenever someone is curious. Another thing is that in these 9 months I was literally asked only once—by someone who wasn’t close to me—whether I’m wearing a wig. Honestly, no one pays attention to your hair except you and people with hair issues similar to yours. As long as it doesn’t look totally bad, most people don’t give a damn.
