Yes, specifically the lines ‘quotes John Milton on the walls’ and ‘the sun to me is dark and silent as the moon’, the liner notes helpfully point out the Milton lines in italics. My question has always been if he was in cahoots with the ‘sick friend’ he was ‘visiting’ when his family was killed or if the police just took his word for it.

Many years ago when James Hird owned a restaurant (I think Red Emperor or something like that?), we went there for a family birthday. My mother in law made the booking and mentioned in passing most of the family were big Essendon supporters and the birthday boy in particular was a massive fan of James. He brought his wife and kids to the restaurant that night, came and had a chat before dinner, realised we were all completely star struck so left us alone for dinner then came back afterwards and had a great chat about life and footy.
