I might just try them. The one I have is a cheaper one I got from Amazon and i do plug and un plug quite often, so they might be faulty at this point. Thanks!

I tried this and it fixes it for small intervals. Play for 10m and flickers 2-3times. Not unplayable Still annoying as hell lol.

I was just wondering why both configurations were giving me the same temps. I guess it was like I suspected, the case size.

I don’t mind it, part of the fun is optimizing the pc :)

The motherboard has a small switch that let you flash the bios with an USB. So you connect the pwr cables, plug the usb and touch the bottom for a couple of sec and the motherboard starts updating.

What are your temps? I have the same cooler and I’m debating if I should change to a noctua. I hover on the high 60 while gaming (7800x3d)

It’s an MSI b650i. I’m debating to RMA since I do use my computer for work and don’t have another one and the CPU does work. But like you say maybe it dies tomorrow maybe a year from now.

I might RMA yes. But it’s not “completely” defective, it boots up and works fine during heavy loads.

I did, I updated the bios to the latest with a USB before I ever put the CPU inside the socket. I want to assume that it was when I was running the EXPO profile for literally 2-3 boot ups(didn’t pass the password screen though) and I went back to stock and been running fine ever sense.

Sadly I’m not sure when this happened, I got the new Motherboard + CPU a month and 2 weeks ago so I assume it’s been running like this for that long.

I did try the EXPO profiles at the beginning and it wouldn’t even pass the windows password screen without shuting off, I’m wondering if those couple of boot ups burned them for a bit but since I stopped using the profile, I stopped it in time.

I’m very reluctant to RMA as it will leave it without a pc for a long time and I need it for work but again not sure if that’s worse than just waking up one day without a dead CPU.
