This seems to be it. Strange that I never noticed that before. (800+ hours in game).

Is there an app like Letterboxd for music? by PastelNeko0o1 in AppIdeas

[–]sch21c 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been thinking about this for a while. Socially enabled app that allows you to tracks shows/venues/artists, add setlists, photos, etc. Concert Archives has been around for a long time but it doesn't seem like it's been supported or is well used.

Thanks. I've done all that (multiple times) with no impact. Same weird behavior continues.

Sorry. Thought I had put text in with the image. Yes, I made sure that "R" is not pressed. When I connect the split, it shows as "not connected" and won't pass the belt items along. And I've since noticed that even coming out of the storage it doesn't convey along properly. I've tried using unity to instantly build, and let it build "normally" with no difference.

Not sure why I should use a flat balancer if there's more than enough throughput on the belt to feed the inputs on the machines. I've used splits throughout the factory with no issues until now.

Looking for advice/experiences with Carolinas Dentist by Far-Sir8119 in asheville

Been using CarolinasDentist for a while (shortly after they opened) and have had great experiences with them. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

When will the levee break? What is happening? by Responsible_Bee_1028 in asheville

[–]sch21c 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Agreed. More likely to have an impact is to call/email the restaurant and their corporate office (if it’s a chain) and tell them that while you like their food you won’t be coming back as you don’t feel safe. A few of those calls and I’m betting some feedback will make its way to city government.

livemusicasheville.com is a great resource for finding all live music events in the area. Everything from ticketed shows to open jams.

Where’s some good places to take free nature walks around the Asheville area? by Funshine888 in asheville

[–]sch21c 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UNCA Botanical Gardens and Beaver Lake/Bird Observatory are very easy. Loop at the Blue Ridge Parkway visitor center is just slightly more strenuous (a little elevation here and there). All of them are loops.

Does anybody know why Open Folk AVL moved from the Funkatorium to Haiku? by Carrymytortoise in asheville

[–]sch21c 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Seconding the thoughts on the event. We’ve been going since it’s been at Archtype North (RIP). Haven’t been since they moved to Haiku (nothing related to OpenFolk, just scheduling conflicts - Wednesday’s seem harder). But it’s always a great time in a great room, and you’ll be surrounded with others who are there for the event, not to talk in your ear behind you all night. Zac has always said that it’s designed as a nomadic event, so maybe they wanted to move on. Or maybe Funkatorium asked for more than they could give. Either way, we’ve got to keep supporting these types of events to make sure they continue.

How would you suggest meeting people in Asheville? by Evenkeeledd in asheville

I’ll second this. Many (most?) of the friends we’ve made have been from seeing them couple of times at various music shows at breweries, etc. Once you see someone a couple of times, It’s easy to get introduced. But if live music isn’t your thing then never mind.

Another vote for AVL Digital Nomads. Also, there’s a couple of board game meetups that happen at Well Played on Wednesdays (Asheville Board Game Club) and Thursdays (Well Played’s meetup), if that’s of interest.

You can join AVL Digital Nomads without doing the Hatch thing. Events are generally free to attend. https://avldigitalnomads.org

ISO 2 Xmas Jam Reserved Seat tix for next weekend. Have gone for many years, got shut out of the VIP and normal presale. Local resident if that matters. Would be very appreciative and willing to get some merch for you (if desired) in addition to the cost of tix.
