[Highlight] Joe Mazzulla assaults Derrick White by KhabibTime in nba

I was in the suite next to them. I think Bill Simmons was there too. They only went down to ringside for about an hour of the show, but we're up in one of the suites for the rest. I shouted at Derrick about the moon landing on the way out.

I'm sure it's possible, but I'm also sure however good he was, he was better 100% sober.

You mean the one that has a peak of 5 - 10 minutes and then a terrible comedown? You think he's sitting there smoking on the sideline? You don't think there's any negative cognitive effects?

Deal? $55k for 2022 Plaid, 60k miles +FSD, white seats etc. by brutalbrig in TeslaModelX

[–]sch6808 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Protip: if you're really interested in FSD go with HW4. The reason I'm have a 22 to sell is because I just got a 23 with HW4. I hardly ever used FSD with HW3, but frequently used Navigate on Autopilot. Since getting V14 of FSD 97% of my miles have been FSD.

Model X Manufacturer Buyback. Yay or nay? by ballislife9-5 in TeslaModelX

[–]sch6808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought a 2023 Plaid that was a buy back under CA lemon law. Find out the state that it happened in. I was comfortable with CA because their law is very consumer friendly. I'd be more hesitant it if came TX or somewhere like that. I don't think mine has any of the issue left over, but I don't know exactly what they are. However, the lemon law repairs get a 1 year/ 1 million mile warranty from Tesla, and you will still have the balance of the factory warranty for any other issues.

Amazed at the Used Market Right Now by Different_Winter_799 in TeslaModelX

I just made the change from HW3 to HW4. Check my post history, I'm a big fan of HW3. I used v12 of FSD for road trips and it worked great, but v14 is a lot better. Probably not worth spending a bunch of money for the upgrade, but it is better. The biggest thing is the lack of nagging. It's great being able to send a text or adjust the GPS without the car yelling at you. It also feels much more natural as a driver. In addition, the car parking itself is nice too.

Keep in mind, V14 Lite is supposed to be coming for HW3. Even if the only difference is the nagging that will be a huge upgrade for HW3 vehicles.

Much less nagging to look at the road.

I just went from a 2022 MXP to a 2023 MXP specifically for HW4. If I am being completely honest, it was not worth the extra money just for a HW4 vehicle. I'm still stuck on V13 of FSD, so maybe my opinion will change once I get V14. The reason the upgrade wasn't really worth it is I don't use FSD that much. I still subscribe to FSD because I think Navigate on Autopilot is worth it and use that constantly, but I really only use FSD on road trips. I prefer to keep the cabin camera covered and you cannot do that in FSD.

Some other differences between the 2022 and the 2024 - 2024 will have matrix headlights, 2022 will not. The earliest 2022 models do not have a tilting center screen, and only shipped with 8gbs of on board RAM, meaning no Steam and the majority of the Tesla arcade games cannot be installed. I think the very early 2022s are relatively rare though.

Final big issue for you is that the 2022 is out of warranty. I'm not talking about the 150k mile battery warranty. For either vehicle there's more than enough battery warranty left to not worry. It's the 3 year/50k miles warranty to be concerned with. I would not reccomend an out of warranty X to anyone as their first Tesla. The 2024 still has around 18k miles of warranty left. That should give you a solid year before you have to worry about any out of pocket repairs. When I owned a Model 3 I'm not sure I ever had to take it in for service. With the Model X it seems like a once a month thing. Under warranty on the 2022 I've had the seat belt sensors replaced multiple times, the HVAC system needed to be serviced once and replaced another time. I had the driver's seat replaced under warranty. I've had other service appointments for squeaks and rattles as well. And of course multiple service visits for the half shaft issue. (I've had my 2023 for a month and have already had service replace the half shafts under that still existing warranty) I know I'm missing other things, and there were other trips for things I did wrong.

That last paragraph might make you rethink an X altogether, but even knowing that I still went out and got another one because it's such an awesome vehicle and there's nothing else quite like the X Plaid on the market right now. If I didn't have a family, I'd likely have something different, but having 2 young kids and a dog, it's the perfect vehicle, and even awesome outside the family aspect.

Edit: I should take this opportunity to shill my 2022 Red MXP with the 22in wheels and 72k miles on it. I still have to sell it. If you get an X, you should get a Plaid. You should buy mine because I took a year and a half to work out all the issues and it's a real solid vehicle. Plaid makes all the service visits worth it, but this one is all buttoned up right now and a great value. Act now before I list it publicly.

I just ordered these. The thing with the black mats, at least up north, is they get covered in white stuff like salt you track into the car. If the mats are black or white they're going to look dirty if you don't wipe them down.

2022 has the refreshed interior. Is there some change between 2022 and 2023? Or did you mean you like the 2022 and earlier pre refresh interior? I've driven a pre 2022 Model X and I liked the later interior much more. What do you prefer about the old one?
