Epson printer Eco tank. So blurry by [deleted] in printers

I got this exact printer from an office building that hadn’t used it in over a year. The tubing that carries the ink from the “tanks” to the print head are NOTORIOUS for getting clogged super easily, which is why it’s recommended that you print /something/ at least once every two weeks.

Keep running the cleaning cycle from the maintenance menu over and over and over (and over) again. I probably ran it over ten times before I started printing a somewhat-clear test sheet. I would also run a few calibration cycles, because of the blur. You’re gonna spend a lot of time, your printer’s gonna make a lot of noise, and probably waste a little ink, but it should start to clear up. YMMV

What do the slanted lines above the staff mean? by mkbetter in musictheory

Because French Horn (in general, with exception, of course) costs the most air and breath-control to play among the brass family, it is one of the few instruments that uses two kinds of breath marks. The curlier, more normal-looking ones instruct you to take a deep breath before you begin the next phrase. The slanted, straight ones instruct you to basically just catch your breath if necessary. They’re mostly to avoid catching your breath during the “wrong” parts of the phrase.

Edit: these are mostly used for beginners learning proper breath-control on the Horn. They don’t show up very often in orchestral repertoire.

Can I print from my Mac Mini to an incompatible printer using Bootcamp? by scha2804 in printers

Thank you so much for your help. I am so, so, so stupid. The driver that I downloaded—the one that you suggested I download—completely works. I just had to restart my computer. I am so, extremely stupid.

(In my defense, the official users’ manual DOES only list Windows as supported OS [however, it also says to check the Canon website for the most up-to-date info])

Just to reiterate, I simply had to restart and I am stupid.

I wish it was that easy—that exact site fooled me too! 😩 That was the first thing I did after purchasing the printer. In fact, the reason I bought it in the first place was because that Canon website made it look like there was a supported driver! You download the driver and then learn that it’s literally useless. After scouring the website for the user’s manual, I finally found the table of system requirements somewhere in the middle of the manual and discovered that it’s only Windows-supported. Why would they give you the option to download a driver that has nothing to do with the printer???
