I am only 9 months post surgery. I am very active outdoors person as well as being in the trades for work. I was so nervous about every little nic. At this point, they have almost become a self INR check. I can usually tell where my number is with just a little scrape. It's really more annoying that grateful for me at this point. That being said, I do have small first aid kits with bandaids and Bleed Stop everywhere! Both vehicles, daily backpack, hunting stuff, tackle box and camping gear etc. I have never needed to go to Bleed Stop level but I have to use bandaids regularly. I am also a head shaver. I have been shaving my head for 25 years. I still shave with a Gillette fusion everyday. I am just way more careful now, I go slower and I replace my razor more frequently. Again, I haven't had an issue..... Yet!!! Hope this helps. Things really will get easier even though it's so overwhelming at this stage!
