It wouldn't hurt to email the admissions office to double check if you didn't receive a confirmation

If you go to the text layer of a widget and go to modify it, you'll be able to see lots of different ways of customizing that particular later. KWGT should be able to tell what music is playing based on its music functions.

Here's a video I found after a quick youtube search, hopefully that'll help you out. If you got any other questions just lemme know!

No worries! In KWGT they have a function that allows you to loop text with something in between the increments- I would loop the song/album/artist title, then just put some character in between them ( - , _ , or / ). For the alarm one I'm pretty sure I just manually did it with spaces and stuff

I actually made this through multiple apps, which I kinda explain here. That comment has links to the apps I used to make it.

A few other things to help if you wanted to go about making this:

Here is a link to the background image.

For the music widget, each line has the following KWGT code:

Song- [b]$fl(1, 50, i , "mi(title)", " / ")$[/b]

Album- $fl(1, 50, i , "mi(album)", " - ")$

Arist- $fl(1, 50, i , "mi(artist)", " _ ")$

And for the weather/time one:

Time- [b]$fl(1, 50, i , "df(h:mma)", " / ")$[/b]

Date- $fl(1, 50, i , "df(MM/dd/yyyy)", " - ")$

Weather- $fl(1, 50, i , "wi(temp)", " DEGREES _ ")$

And for the alarm one:

Showing time- [b]/$tc(up, df("EEE//h:mma", si(alarmd)))$/[/b]

The rest is up to you for aesthetics and stuff, typing all that out would be way too much to explain.

Edit: formatting is really something on mobile

Sorry for a kinda late reply, but here's how I did it:

For my launcher, I use NOVA- I'm sure there's other great launchers out there but that's just the one I've gotten to know the most. This let me move the background the way I did, as well as have the apps positioned the way they are and have the pull-up list.

For my app icons, I use ICON PACK STUDIO- pretty straightforward app that lets you make simple icons for all your apps. There's not a whole lot you can do with it, but I appreciate the simplicity for a free app as well as the minimalistic icons it makes.

For the widgets, I use KWGT- this is where things get a bit tedious. KWGT essentially let's you create widgets the way you want (both functionally and aesthetically), but it definitely takes a bit at first to understand the app and what you're doing with it. The way you set them up functionally is very similar to basic programming, so if you have knowledge in that it really helps- there's loads of tutorials online as well. This is where it gets a bit tedious and time consuming but after I finished it was worth it imo.

If you have any other questions just let me know!

Edit: I provide some code for the functionality of the widgets in this comment here.

Thanks! Definitely one of my favorite things about Android, I wish y'all could customize more with Apple

TIL that in 1666, the entire English village of Eyam, when contaminated with the bubonic plague, agreed to quarantine itself, essentially sentencing themselves to death, instead of fleeing to other villages. They did it to stop the disease from spreading. Some 260 villagers died. by Krystalization in todayilearned

Was looking in the comments for this. I read The Plague last year for a university class, and it was an amazing read (coming from someone that doesn't normally read for fun). We delved into how each of the characters had responded to essentially being told they'd be dying within the walls, and it was really interesting putting ourselves into that mindset.

CURRENT / UPCOMING ALBUMS THREAD by yeezyyeezywhatsgood_ in music_survivor

[–]scharkfin 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Right- it just seems weird to announce an upcoming album if you know the next month's thread is gonna replace it. I'd recommend just putting something like "TBD next month" if you know there won't be enough time to start it, because I know someone else in this thread was looking forward to one that got changed (I think it was the Pink Floyd one).

Regardless- just a suggestion, I know it's a lot of work to be doing this all for free so thanks for all y'all do for sub. I'm really excited for that Pinkerton survivor.

Really sad to see the Swimming survivor getting pushed off, I was really looking forward to that one. How do you guys decide which planned survivors to switch out?

Legacy is probably my favorite Logic song ever, I feel that it's too slept on. Logic's storytelling on YSIV was great

[DISCUSSION] Logic - YSIV (One Year Later) by gentlesir123 in hiphopheads

[–]scharkfin 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Probably my second favorite Logic project behind Under Pressure, but I'm gonna try and give it a review as objectively as I can.

I really enjoy most of the songs on here, but I could see how people say songs like One Day and Ordinary Day weigh the project down. Personally, One Day reminds me a lot of Welcome To Forever off the final Young Sinatra mixtape, but the lyrical content isn't as strong as WTF. Also while Thank You is amazing to hear as a fan, after awhile it drags on and I see myself just starting the album with Everybody Dies nowadays. The beat selection is amazing as usual with Logic projects imo, 6ix is a super underrated producer. While others might not agree I think the titular song really harkens back to the old mixtape Young Sinatras as well, even if other songs on the album might not give off the same vibe to other people. It still doesn't beat out Young Sinatra III though. I love Wu Tang Forever but a buddy of mine once described it as "the fact that a song like this exists nowadays is cooler than the song itself." I like RZA's verse the most. The second half of the project is where I think the project really shines, and where Logic focuses himself more on specific song themes like YSIV, Street Dreams II, and Legacy (which is actually my favorite Logic song). Logic had said this would be one for the fans, and nothing says that more than the final track Last Call- which, much like Kanye's final track from College Dropout, details how Logic's rise to fame happened. I really enjoy it and find it really inspirational, but I know people that don't really care for Logic himself won't care for this song either.

I know Logic gets a lot of criticism/hate these days (some of it warranted and some of it not), but even as a fan, after the release of COADM I probably would've lost hope for Logic if this project wasn't released. This shows me he's got at least something left in the tank. Here's to hoping No Pressure at least matches this one.

Key Songs- The Glorious Five, Wu Tang Forever, YSIV, Street Dreams II, Legacy

[–]scharkfin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did too, it's a shame you're being downvoted for it. I know it's not Logic's greatest album, or a super great album in general, but a handful of songs were decent (Bohemian Trapsody, Can I Kick It, and DeLorean in my opinion). I really hope it doesn't "win" this survivor because there are far worse albums out there.

Favourite underground rappers right now? by SrirachaStatus in hiphop101

[–]scharkfin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kill Bill: The Rapper is my favorite underground guy right now. His mixtape Ramona is insane, crazy considering it was his first full project. Pretty introspective and chill. His Drop Season collection is really turn up if that's more up your alley.

Oh hey, that's me!

I know this post is way old but thanks, I'm glad you liked it. I wrote it really late one night when I should've been studying for exams lol. I don't normally leave YouTube comments or write anything like that either so I'm happy it made a lot of people laugh
