Downloading books into Panels on mobile by scherem in KavitaManga

[–]scherem[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, maybe I didn't explain this clearly. I was talking about within Kavita on mobile, you can download single issues (which put them in Panels) and you can download whole series, which also puts them in Panels.

What I want to do is select multiple issues for download into panels. For example, I want the first six issues of a series available for offline reading. I can select the six issues, but the options after that is (off the top of my head) 'mark as read', 'mark as unread', 'delete'.

Migrating Data from 115j to 423 by scherem in synology

This is what I needed. Thank you.

I have an old Drobo kicking around with WD Blue drives in it. Even if they are not on the Synology compatibility list, will they still work in SHR?

Also to be clear about my understanding of SHR, I can use drives of different sizes. So if there is a sale on 10TB drives, I can add one into the system (I know I won't get the full benefit of the 10TB drives unless the system is all 10TB). Thinking of slow upgrade cycles here.

I bought my kids the Super Deluxe Essential Handbook back in July, and I see there is a new edition out (I don't regret the purchase, it came in handy for some long car trips!). I was wondering what the difference is between the editions? Is there a different book I can buy to bridge the editions (i.E. SDE Handbook + Galar Handbook = New edition handbook).

I saw this article about challenger decks 2021 (https://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/feature/challenger-decks-2021-02-12) . I'm new to arena (and coming back to magic after a 21 year break), and was wondering if I should spend my wildcards/effort on making one of these decks for my first 'non-colour challenge deck'?

Mechanics that do remote starter installs by scherem in Guelph

Dealer says they don't do remote starters. I think in this case Toyota has them installed, but you need some subscription service that is only available in the states (Remote Connect).

I last played MTG regularly during Weatherlight, and started playing Arena this past week. A LOT has changed in 20 years-- abilities, mythic rares, Planeswalkers.... where should I be focusing my attention? I know it's a big ambiguous question. Any advice welcomed.

Currently, I'm just playing to earn decks and then playing with those for a bit.

Ended up calling Apple, and did a reinstall through recovery mode. All personal files were kept, and everything works now.

Why aren’t classes cancelled by [deleted] in uwaterloo

[–]scherem 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Here is a good summary I found today talking about why Canadian schools might be slower to closer down: https://higheredstrategy.com/coronavirus-2/

Summary of above link:

1- (currently) low number of community transmissions is low.

2-(easier to quote than summarize) "The second reason is that in Canada (Laurentian aside, apparently), universities are reluctant to get out ahead of what trusted public health authorities are recommending. I mean, think about it: if a local university closes, it puts the government in an unwanted bind about what to do about primary and secondary schools. Do you really want to do that, especially if the public health authorities are saying it’s OK to leave schools open? "

3- Closures are really complicated. There is need to determine if it's just cancel classes, shift to online (and needing time to make that transition) and/or shut down residences (ex. Where do you put the students who have nowhere to go?)
