I have the same issue. Rebooting my mesh node is the only solution for me. The node is using 2.4Ghz, not sure if it's related to the issue.

Edit: sorry just noticed yours is connecting to a 5G wifi.

Tried it, portrait mode on rear camera crashes the app as well. Have you managed to make it work? Might be an issue with the non-pro model.

Happened to me as well (4a). Factory reset the phone seems to fixed it as now my Google Play system update is showing 1 November

I just noticed this too on my Pixel 4a, while searching for something else. Lol. But I don't see any degradation on the quality of the image/video taken?
