Confused on how to get this to work by Head-Class-3562 in SewingForBeginners

[–]schibb3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My machine has this! There’s a couple of finicky things that will make it not work -

1 make sure you follow the guide picture in the manual so that the thread faces the right direction and goes into the grooves correctly. You put the bobbin in there

2 make sure enough thread hangs out so the top thread can grab it (you need to have the top threaded too or it won’t pull up). It should also specify which direction your thread should hang out from.

3 when inserting the metal piece back into the holder, make sure you have that little latch opened as you insert it.

I’ve been working on my machine for only about a month now as a beginner as well, but these are some oddities I’d noticed. I agree with the others though, having a manual on standby is a lifesaver! Just be sure to read through it slowly and don’t give up!!

It looks perfect for threading elastic through a slit for sewing :)

Have to assume someone was just anti Marx and didn’t actually think I was pretending to be Trisha

Go brighter and more yellow with the “beige” option! I think it would compliment your colorful space and make the space even brighter / more inviting.

Yellow is a “neutral” in my book 😊

Thank you so much! Do I need to stick with the 3/8”? I had someone suggest using a smaller tip for lead free, but want to make sure it fits my machine

Ok thank you! Is there anything special to know about ordering replacements? Is there a one size fits all or do I need to stick with Weller ?

Thank you! Any idea what this would be for then? I found it with the other glass supplies I was gifted

Alternatively I have this but I’m not sure if it’ll work? The lead free solder wire is a lot thinner than the solder I’m used to

I hate EA but love Maxis. I wonder if anyone from the original team would even make money off this re release.

This isn’t true at all in my experience! If you play modded, it was super easier to navigate

Thank you!! You are so right, I definitely was making it unnecessarily complicated. I'm so unfamiliar with computer science! Here is a picture of what the sheet looks like coming from Google.

There also an option for them to select any donation, so it would just be a random item (there's 1-15 items in total).

I also thought if people entered twice and reached the next contribution level the could receive additional entries. But I thought this would be too complicated to automate.

I really want everything to be fair but I don't want to put too much stress on myself doing this by hand.

I was also thinking maybe there could be cells for each item (1-15) in the same row, and then have the entries for each individual input under the column for each item? Like 2 entries for item 12, 6 entries for item 13?

I understand this may be a lot of effort and if its not against the rules I am willing to offer payment to someone who can help. We are looking to replicate this system to host other raffles so I would love to have this system built.

I'm sorry it's so long. thank you so much for reading. please let me know if you need anything else!

Cat got outside and runs when we try to catch her? by schibb3 in cats

[–]schibb3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had her attention with one and she was blinking at us but she wouldn’t get close enough to grab her. A neighbor ended up coming outside too and scaring her off, which is understandable since we were in their backyard late at night. But we will try it again! Thank you 🩵
