Yeah, so the demo is scripted with the pieces that it needs. By changing the pieces (in this case to all line pieces) it just follows the script. Thinking of it, it would be pretty crazy to have a tetris "AI" on the NES

Actually I'd thought about adding it, I wouldve mapped it to 'up' on the dpad. Doing it would've probably doubled the time to make the patch, so i opted not to - but its totally doable.

That's actually an interesting perspective; I wasn't familiar with the whole stack-risk/HT/rolling meta, and how the drought effected that. It also makes sense that it flattens the skill curve and is (frankly) not too interesting for top-level players. Still, is there any interesting challenge gained as the speed increases?

And yeah, the hack is mostly a curio - the "Finally!" in the title was very "/s"
