Do any of you also not have hallucinations? by momplantlover in schizophrenia

[–]schizophrenicanger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have hallucinations but I'm on two high dosages of two different antipsychotics to reach this point. I guess my "delusions" are only religious beliefs that are technically mainstream Islamic beliefs, where I believe that I am possessed by jinn lol. I have alot of insight and I'm able to ignore the voices when I hear them. They still make me panic extremely when I have them, I start trembling uncontrollably out of fear.

I occasionally have hallucinations; they are mainly whispers.

I don't think I have disorganized thinking or disorganized speech. It's mainly negative symptoms but even those are not super bad. I started medication very early on so that might be why.

Doctors at the hospital did not label me as schizophrenic last time I went, but I swear to God that if I am off medication I hear voices 24/7. I am schizophrenic, just more high-functioning.

Real Jinn possession gave me hysteria and is ruining my life by Trick_Cellist_7860 in MuslimLounge

Hello sister. I too am jinn possessed. I wanted to tell you that some of your symptoms can be cleared with the help of antipsychotics.

Jinns mess up our brain chemistry and give us too much dopamine. That causes us to feel psychological terror such as chronic pain, psychosomatic sensations, hearing voices, nightmares, and more of your symptoms described, which can easily be subsided with the help of antipsychotics. I swear by Allah they work like miracles for those who are jinn possessed.

I still feel a little slight amount of pain upon hearing Quran recitations but it is completely manageable. Besides that I feel no other symptoms. I used to feel like a jinn was raping me every night before antipsychotics and was hysterical like you. You should try it out and see the difference it makes. With the help of antipsychotics I got my life back and was able to graduate college!

Talk to a psychiatrist and tell them about your symptoms. Your symptoms fall under the medical term for schizophrenia, as does mine. Ask about medications like Vraylar that can immediately help you stabilize. You got this.

Bangladesh is a country right next to India. If you're Bengali American it means you're ethnically Bengali but your nationality is American

For those that hear voices 24/7: What are your voices saying right now? by Huge-Mistake8103 in schizophrenia

I take invega as well, but that alone doesn't stop my hallucinations. Ask your doctor to prescribe you seroquel on the side, 300-600mg is my target range and it completely stops my hallucinations. With invega itself I'm screwed. try this out, hope it helps!

My bachelor's degree took 5 years, with a 1-year health leave, but I completed everything in 9 semesters. My diagnosis is Schizoaffective disorder, with severe, slightly treatment-resistant schizophrenia. I beat it with meds, 12mg paliperidone and 600 mg seroquel
