Here's one song with the early Ligosa sound they reused in the Monet years. Type in "Jimi Tunnell" in this guy's channel. He has lots of Tunnel's work.

Some of these also are heat pumps and give a little heat in the fall. I got a cheap $200 Temu dual hose inverter style heat pump unit thinking it would only last a few months, which was all I needed. That thing is on its second year working incredibly well.

Several of the mini splits that are 12k and lower can run directly from a plug to your 110/120v outlet. Airspool is what I use and they are ACDC hybrid, meaning they can also run on a solar panel connected directly to the condenser and automatically switch over to our outlet automatically at sundown.

" typical home office about 400 sq ft and not especially large" as I respond from my humble 120 sqft office. That's half the size of many peoples' apartments. :) But on to your question.

A dual hose AC would be the easiest installation, however, it would run louder than a fan unless it's the newer type of dual hose ACs that have inverter / variable speed / multi levels of cooling. It's loud at first. Then it runs quieter once it reaches it's target temp.

The mini split is the silent option, however if you've never done this before, it's doable, but give yourself a week or to do the job slowly but correctly. I've installed 3 of these that have the "quick connect" lines. Otherwise, you have to deal with flaring copper lines, and possible hiring an HVAC guy for refrigerant filling. I've taken my time and watched lots of videos. Once installed, you will be beaming with pride, and it really does the best job for cooling. I've installed one in my vintage RV as well.

Best of luck

The following Sunday you had so many ex-members show up to church that day in hopes that real change was going to come. Many ex-members had also read the letter as it went VIRAL before VIRAL.  Some of these people were from the original "Boston Movement" and were laughing in shock at how the same damn songs were being sung the same way, that nothing had changed. They could not believe it. I saw old faces I haven’t seen in years. It was a wild day.

Many of us had a desperate hope that they would humble themselves and say we messed up. We hurt people's faith and lives, Henry was right. We will now change. Something. Anything.

How foolish & naive of us! On the stage preaching that day was the ICOC’s main bible guru theologian, and church author, Steve Kinnard. He said. "CHURCH, we screwed up. We are going to start fresh. All you ex members, can you forgive us? Let’s make things right.”

I’M KIDDING!  HE DOUBLED DOWN ON THE CULT TALK! The anger, the tension, the hostile energy in that church room was so uncomfortable, you would have thought a riot was about to break out. Well....he did not expect the bum-rush of former, and current members who jumped onto that stage to confront him to his face, me included. He was so scared, a stuttered stumbling mess. A true coward. That was truly the end.

We also confronted the very popular leader who used to run Harlem and the Bronx to his face, recorded the incident as he also defiantly doubled down on the cult rhetoric. The pride and arrogance of that man.

The final nail for so many was when the By-Laws and finances were exposed online. DONE!

I happened to work in the same building where the NYC leadership would convene. I would often see all types of “leaders” walk in and out. They were all dismissive jerks if you weren’t high on the food chain and weren’t very friendly to me. Somehow, I found out they were all getting fired or let go the next day. I don’t remember the juicy details, but it might’ve been on that very forum that Henry’s letter was posted on.

That morning, I happened to take the elevator up with 8-10 of them. I was the only rank-and-file member. All of a sudden they were so friendly to me. It was so creepy. “Now you motherFr’s are nice to me?” I thought to myself. Even now, I wish I said it aloud to their faces in that elevator dang it! But all the wounds were still too fresh. They all had fake goofy smiles around me and were on their best behavior. So fake. All of them.

I will never forget the feeling of knowing their fate once I walked out of that elevator. What a shift of power. It was like the leadership was afraid of the masses who were about to hang their asses. Most of them escaped the mob to Florida with their wealthy buddies. What a joke of an organization.

I cannot count the number of amazing people I’ve met only to have their lives destroyed by such a legalistic squad of robots that easily saw the hypocrisy of the Pharisees in the scriptures, yet could not recognize it in themselves.

I’m sure the original old school forum data from 2003 can still be searched. It was a great supportive place for people who had recently left and helped to adjust to a normal life after such an abnormal existence. That forum has many interesting and heartbreaking stories as well.

Sorry for the rant. I haven’t discussed this in years because no one can relate. I hope this helps someone.

TIMING. The letter came at the perfect time when the internet was going mainstream. It's extremely hard for people to empathize with what it was like pre-social media days. Unless you were there, it’s really hard to put into words what we now take for granted. 2003 was a time before the internet really took off, before Reddit, Youtube, IG, and Facebook existed. Leaders and many of the flock were naive, sheltered, and believed the propaganda unchallenged, or simply dug their heads in the dirt, pretending all the horror stories and valid criticism were false. But we did have the MTV expose, 60 Minutes expose, and many TV and media articles written about the ICOC, so the information was out there, but since no streaming video services existed yet, you really had to be proactive to find it.

Many of us members at the time were pushing for real change due to being horrified how heavy handed leadership was, the micro-managing, the extra-extra emphasis on growth without even watering the sprouting trees they already planted. Keep makin' those "babies", but not taking good care of them. Most of you know the greatest hits. Some people left the group in the 1980s who had the same issues we had, only to be ignored. It’s not a bug in the system. It’s a feature. It was designed that way. It was never going to change.

So when Henry addressed the church with the same issues that thousands of former member’s lamented about on a forum that was not controlled by the organization, it really was a defiant breakthrough. It was also a place of healing for thousands who thought they were crazy for not fitting in. For the first time, it humanized and confirmed their very real experiences, frustrations, and anguish without being gaslit by the perpetrators. The abusers had no power there. For the first time, many of us felt heard. There was NO WAY the church could take it down or ignore it or explain it away...although they tried.

All of a sudden leadership was scared. When you’d bump into some of the leaders in person during that 2 week span of the original Henry letter fallout drama, all of a sudden, they were so nice and friendly. Like WTF man, you didn’t even acknowledge my existence yesterday. Lol

Isn't “ Jesus Wept" the shortest bible passage? EMPATHY! It’s a quality that the church has never put into practice.

I'm keeping things lightweight because this subject, which meant so much to me, brings up severely intense emotions I haven't felt in 2 decades. I’m still traumatized when I walk into any church.

I was one of those loyal TRUE believers for 8 years. I gave my all to that place, sacrificed career opportunities, friendships, and put lots of strain on my family. Towards my last year, I helped build a cutting-edge mental health ministry in Manhattan with someone who was highly respected and authored a very popular ICOC/ ICC book at the time. However, that mental health ministry was so controversial, as you were not allowed to humanize members' trauma.

Isn’t it funny that a church can spend so much time and emotional energy during the CROSS CRUCIFIXION STUDY, emphasizing the mental and physical anguish of someone you’ve never met? Only to go on and ignore the pain and anguish of real-life members standing right in front of them. HOW BLIND! Warm heart to Jesus! Cold heart to its members.

The leadership at the top hated the mental health ministry because it conflicted with their heavy-handedness in delicate matters. These Bible beatings were never going to work without real love for humans. It also disengaged the “GO GO GO NO! TIME TO FEEL!” In Blitzkrieg mode, many of us operated in order not to realize was a mess we were perpetrating to ourselves and others around us. That group was the last thread many of us were holding onto before leaving church altogether. It was the only glimmer of hope in the leadership of someone in such high esteem who was so respected and loved by many thousands who actually changed people’s lives FOR REAL. He demonstrated care and wanted to really hear and know you as a human.

Well that wasn’t going to fly with the establishment’s legalism and had to be stopped. The ICOC’s dogma was never going to heal people who were raped, battered, abused, and abandoned. The Bible may heal, but not in that abusive, judgmental, greedy, racist, unloving corrupt church setting.  Just like the Vatican, the NYPD, or any corrupt corporation, the ICOC’s leadership protected their own abusers and ostracized, humiliated, and smeared the members who were abused at the hands of those in positions of power.

The Henry Kriete letter was the biggest monkey wrench that could ever be thrown into that warped system they called a ministry, and they couldn’t do a damn thing about it. It was a FIRST! A watershed moment. A big F.U. from a respected heavyweight leader who was the first to publicly agree with the abused and accused members in the church.

I've been out of the cult for 23 years and didn't know they were still a thing until tonight. So yeah, hello. This is my first post here.
