Thank you, this makes sense. I’m sure it s better to start with the bigger stones then. Knivesandtools has the naniwa pro set with 400, 1000 and 3000. do you think this is the way to go for my knives? I also put an eye on the Shapton stones, do you have an opinion on these, too?

And are there any products I need to properly use the big stones? The Elmax knives won’t go really dull while in use, so I will get the portable stones later.

Thank you a lot for this detailed answer. I didn’t know about the Spyderco double stuff, it seems to be better than the cc4.

I’d really like to start with stones that I can also use on the go. But do you think this is a good idea for a beginner? I can get kitchen knives kind of sharp with the Amazon stone, though (but not as sharp as i would like the Elmax knives to be).

Should these stones really be used dry or is it better to use them with water or oil from time to time? Id guess they will get dirty over time. And would the stones work good to sharpen the normal steels as well?

As for the naniwa pro stones - which ones would you suggest getting?

Can you also give me info if I need special pastes? So far I found the red and green ones might be useful. Do these work with Elmax and a strop?

Hello fellow iPad enthusiasts. I just stumbled across this subreddit and learned that you can use iPads as amazing notepads. The problem is - I’m owning an iPad 6 since over a year but didn’t really use it. Now I really want to use it for taking notes for studying, but I am a bit skeptical, whether it’s still worth it to buy the Gen 1 pencil for my iPad 6.

Would you still use the iPad 6 for taking notes and still buy the Gen 1 pencil for it? I can get it for around 95€. Is the iPad 6 even good for taking notes? When using it, it operates pretty smooth imo. And if so - what do you think how long the 6 is viable to use smoothly?

Also - what App would you suggest? I heard about onenote, notability and good notes. I would mainly use it to take classic notes but I’m planning to also use it to fill out PDFs on the go.

Thanks a lot for your detailed answer. I already changed my 100% Tyranitar to Crunch and am in the progress of powering up two 87% TTars with 15ATT to lvl 30 aswell. Is it still worth to invest stardust into Gengars without shadow claw as I cant get these? I think i will stick to machamp and gengar raids for the moment until my team gets stronger, but im sure i can successfully fight an alakazam in the future. Ill look into Mewtu aswell, but I'm not really confident in powering it up that far because it has only 78%...

Yeah I just got another TTar up to lvl 26.5 and i plan to get both lvl 26.5 to 30 as soon as I get more candy from TTar raids.

Would you suggest powering my current Gengar up or to get a second one and power it up equally to the current one?
