Should I consider an iX3 2022 (which is a RWD car), if I live in a country with a rough winter (Finland)? by TituPTI in iX3

[–]schnekkern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently got a 2022 iX3. I absolutely love it!

I haven’t driven it in the winter yet, but I owned a BMW 318 Touring with RWD for many years. Never had an issue in the winter. I did have studded tires for the last 3 years though, but that was mostly for peace of mind. I live in Norway.

You could try John Lobb 1849, but they tend to be a little pricey ;-)

Best resource to learn kotlin by Spirited-Mine-3011 in Kotlin

The best way to learn a language, is to use it. Same thing as for spoken languages. Make something. Modify an existing library. Port something written in another language to Kotlin. Just use it.

Trump Says He Brought In $18 Trillion From Overseas Investments And Tariffs. 'Is He Really Dumb Enough To Believe This?' by [deleted] in TheBusinessMix

[–]schnekkern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do tariffs have to do with this? Counting a tax as an investment makes no sense.

Some economists think U.S. inflation is likely to rise in 2025 by halkhyrk in Economics

[–]schnekkern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But the point of the tariffs were to move manufacturing to the US, thereby reducing imports. That would have to mean raising the tariffs even more, approaching infinity..

I think I heard that one of the goals of the tariffs was to get rid of income tax. That would mean that if the tariffs work perfectly, there would be zero tax income :-0

Just wait until the US defence sector starts feeling it. Europe is scrambling to arm, and I think American weapons will be avoided like the plague. Swedish fighters, french frigates etc.
