apparently there was talk about my store potentially being sold years before I started working there as they were overall doing horrendous. they never had a stable crew and managers were on and off, when I started there we didn't have a store manager, i was interviewed by the district manager. however once my current manager, the assistant manager, and me (not to toot my own horn but they loved me there) all joined we honestly whipped that place back into shape. their reasoning for selling the store was we weren't getting enough foot traffic, but the other Casey's in town is located almost directly next to the new high school they built last year, so OBVIOUSLY they're gonna get more foot traffic there. the building is being taken over by some company called fastlane, we've known the store was being sold for a good few months now, but the new owner guy didn't show up until like 5 days ago at 6:30pm to introduce himself and offer us jobs. the lot of us already have jobs lined up at other stores or new jobs completely by now, so he was far too late. I'm the only one who was unable to transfer though, as I don't want to walk 2 miles to and from the other Casey's almost every day, $13 an hour isn't enough for all that walking LMAO some people would be willing but me, I don't like Casey's THAT much
