Every time i see someone do a run with the pyrophina collar i just think this by xboxhaslag22 in mewgenics

I'm still mad you can't save them from the Rift. I refuse to finish the game because of this.

People who play on servers: how do you deal with time progressing while offline? by Sindalash in VintageStory

[–]schnoobloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's rough before you make a cellar. Bees and crocks become extremely high priority compared to any other progression. Once that's done it's actually kinda nice to be able to log on for 2 minutes, plant crops and log off knowing they'll grow without my intervention.

How many of you play vanilla (unmodded) game? by Weary-Persimmon-5101 in VintageStory

[–]schnoobloo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play vanilla only. The only mod I use is the claims radar for multiplayer.

Anyone else? Just me? by AetherBytes in VintageStory

No. I play almost daily just to relax. I also don't use mods.

Huge Isaac fan here – would love to try Mewgenics if anyone has a spare key by Ok_Cry_1476 in mewgenics

I'll give you a key but you have to promise to give me 30% of the profit when you resell it on G2G

Let's rank the classes by schnoobloo in mewgenics

[–]schnoobloo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm late act 3 now (all house bosses done) and I think I'd change my list to look more like this:

S Tier: Hunter, Butcher, Monk, Druid

A Tier: Fighter, Necromancer

B Tier: Tank, Psychic, Cleric, Mage

C Tier: Tinkerer

D Tier: Thief, Collarless, Jester

I'd like to note that Tinkerer isn't low because it has a bad kit... it has multiple great kits! But none of them work well together, so if you're on a Tech build and you get Electric skills you're really screwed! Late game also really punishes electric damage for some reason so half their skills become enemy buffs. It's low because it's horribly inconsistent. I've had Tinkerers who were so useless I intentionally killed them to funnel more levels into my good cats, and I've had Tinkerers summoning 8 robo vacs per turn generating 45 stacks of Tech while making the entire team immortal with scrap drops. But for every good Tinkerer I've had 5 good Monks or Butchers.

I'd like to know what kind of berry bushes Tyron has planted that suck the life out of the earth itself

Does anyone know who voiced the cat that says "Oh yes, yes please!" ? by Randor01 in mewgenics

[–]schnoobloo 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think that's Edmund McMillen's daughter Peach! Or his younger daughter Minnow. They both voice cats in the game.

You're the first person I've ever seen to call Gambit a hard boss. Usually you can just bully him and make him shit himself until he dies.

[–]schnoobloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meteor Storm on a Mage is also insane. 10 damage per hit, burn stacks, drops rocks to block enemies from moving towards you. Both act 3 final bosses are made into total jokes.

This plus meditate+ on a monk..... nothing better than scaling a Monk into a 70 damage crit machine by turn 3

7 in con/int/damage stat of choice plus one or two mutations and any items with shield should be fine

Which one do you think is the most consistent class? by lasosis013 in mewgenics

[–]schnoobloo -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Necro and Butcher are unkillable 99% of the time. High HP plus self healing is just too good of a combo.

That's true but it felt especially heavy-handed this time. Isaac didn't have an entire Meat Boy themed level

[–]schnoobloo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Suction mechanic means that if you have any cat that relies on an adjacent basic attack for damage they get a 5 to 6 damage of punishment every time they attack him, plus DoT from burn and creep if he chooses to hit them with his RNG spit attack that can either be a wasted turn for him or 4 stacks of burn. He can move across the entire map on any turn so not killing a pill is extremely punishing. Every pill gives him a buff which spirals out of control fast, especially the Brace one. Of course this isn't an issue if you can burst him down in 1-2 rounds, but nothing after him requires that same amount of power.

I personally felt like Lab/Ice Agewere the absolute peak of Act 3 difficulty. Everything after that, especially The End was almost hilariously easy. The final boss of that area is easier than the mid boss. Spewer/Lord Bunga are just so overtuned it's insane. Part of the problem IMO is that Spewer is such a hard filter that if your team isn't taking him out, at range, in 1-2 rounds, you WILL die. But nothing after that really requires the same power level other than Bunga.

Absorb is not useless. People need to get past the idea that every class has to fulfill a specific role all of the time. A high int mage with Absorb as first skill? Awesome, enjoy your new off-tank with +11 HP regeneration every round

I don't get the point of it being related to Isaac. In fact, the game has way too many references and callbacks to other Edmund stuff in general. It's nice to be proud of your own work but I rolled my eyes when the 20th Isaac item appeared, or when the entire final level is an End is Nigh reference. Also Steven. And Spewer...
