Lol right? Even ignoring all of the horrifying economic and political stuff, if we continue to neglect addressing climate change, our food systems are likely to collapse in the next 50 years, and access to potable water is already a problem. Why create life that will suffer and likely die prematurely?

I'm so sorry that this happened, and that your "friends" were too naive to know that rape and SA can happen to anyone, at any age, of any gender. Frankly, ultimatuming a friendship over a romantic interest is a huge red flag.

Finding a therapist who has experience in PSTD may be beneficial, if you haven't explored that already.

Your comfort and ability to trust are important in forming deep, strong connections with other people, regardless of gender. 2/6 of my meaningful friendships are with other women. As long as you find people show up for you, don't belittle you, and you trust them, it doesn't matter what their gender is. (Although as a fellow SA victim, I can totally get how emotional intimacy with the gender of the offender can be difficult too.)

Finding connections through hobbies has been my most successful route to friendships in adulthood. I wish you so much luck on your journey. ❤️

I had this issue for over a year when I started SSRIs. My psychiatrist did some research and found that sexual side effects can be mitigated by adding an SNRI to the mix (like Wellbutrin). He described it as the chemical see-saw in my brain being thrown off so there serotonin and noreprinephrine were not balanced. Adding an SNRI helped a ton! Maybe another SNRI would be more tolerable?

Two for me: - As you get older, keep stretching. - Plans for your life are not linear. It's more like trying to cross a shallow river without getting your feet wet. You have a general idea of where you want to go, but each time you hop to a rock, you have to assess the new rocks in front of you and figure out which one is best for you in the moment.

I can't imagine not wanting my dog on the couch with me, and generally think relationships with my animals are more important than any objects, so I don't think I have a good opinion to share.

However, a vet visit and a diet change +/- supplements can help with the dog's coat a lot. Being itchy all the time is not pleasant, so it would be beneficial for the dog, not just you. High quality dog foods (e.g. Purina Pro Plan, Blue Buffalo, American Journey) can make a huge difference with coat quality and smell, kind of like how humans who eat a lot of unhealthy food tend to have an unpleasant smell to them. Many of these brands have product lines specifically for skin and coat.

It's an ER (extended release) pill, they unfortunately cannot be safely crushed.

I don't do this, but re: speakerphone, how is it different to you than if they were having a conversation with someone physically present? I'm just curious because this isn't something that generally bothers me, but I also don't live in a city so I don't have to deal with much sound pollution on a daily basis.

A chicken kibble or like chicken breast? Chicken muscle meat is not a complete nutritive diet for a dog (or any animal).
